Lex, You seemed like you were relaxed and locked in pretty good for the whole session. You are definitely getting more comfortable at these higher stakes from what I have seen from the beginning of your vlogs. It is just a matter of time before you are consistently playing and winning at these bigger games. Mariano is another one of my favorite poker vloggers, and he has a similar poker journey as yours, in that he started playing smaller games and worked his way up to the big leagues and is now a regular at these stakes. You and Jungleman seem to have hit it off well! he seems like a really cool and interesting guy! I hope you enjoy playing with those guys as much as we like to watch you guys play together! You have been playing for almost 5 years, you should know by now that playing on a high limit way above your limit is just asking for a disaster. If your over-reaching yourself in a high stake game with a Limited bank roll, you'll be playing scared and ended losing a winning hand. Dude is terrible lol. Yeah he makes insane plays/bluffs. You’ve got to realize 75-80% of time your opponent can’t make a hand to call you down(> top two, set, straight, flush,…) w the sizing/frequency his bets represent. And it’s not cuz of his skill level, sometimes you pull off bluff cuz of variance, just happens the run-out unblocks all his bluffs. Just couple weeks back saw him just go crazy in bounty game, up like 1M in first 4 hours. But lost all it in matter of minutes playing the same way.

Lex, I've said it once in the comments and I'll say it again... your idea of "thin-value" and the way you conclude what sizes to bet with it are... conflicting at best. Some how you equate "thin" to mean "max" almost every single time.
@lexopoker2 ай бұрын
You can do both at the same time . If he calls with 77 here like he would. That would be an example of thin value for the max
@magiciangob2 ай бұрын
The "thin" is describing his chances of being best here (say 55% of the time) rather than the size of the bet. If you have an A-hi flush you can bet for thick value, but in the 99 hand you're still winning more than 50% but the value is thin. Doesn't hurt to swing for the fences either way, you're just going to have more variance when you're going thin. It can add up to a huge edge over time and is really effective in low stakes.
@matthewgary68432 ай бұрын

I would stick to 5/10 Lex (not being results oriented). (those stakes are also more suited to the stakes your viewers play) Less stressfull and you have a good winrate at those stakes and you make lots of profit and a good living there. After a big losing session like this it takes a whole lot of hours at 5/10 to recover, which can put you on tilt more easily or forces you to want to keep playing higher than your usual stakes. Just my 2 cents and not meant to hate or to be negative. Ty for the vlog. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
