Agree. These bus drivers had to take the night shifts not because they love to, but because they had to earn a salary to feed their loved ones and themselves.

Hello there! Nice video you've got there!! :) To answer your queries about why buses stop randomly at bus stops with no passenger activities, it's mainly because buses would need to regulate their headway on route. On bus services like this, there is not much passenger activity dropping off NSFs/NSmen and dorm workers, so buses will tend to be earlier than scheduled. By doing random opening and closing of doors at bus stops, it makes them slow down and get back on their scheduled time. Why? Because if the bus is early, the bus behind him could not catch up and ends up getting a lot of passengers before that, and their rest and mealbreak time will be affected (i.e cut short). And yes, we as commuters want to reach places on time or even earlier, but buses have their schedule to adhere too. :) Hope it helps!!

Also, they must strictly abide by the timetable if it is the first/last bus. They can be late (like 1-5 minutes, nothing over the top), but they cannot be early.

if u waited until the last few buses, u might come across Service 975C which ends at the Police Coast Guard, and it does not loop back. Hence there's a possibility that it'll leave you stranded as well. Service 975C is a shortworking service that operates mostly after the last 975 trip departed :)

The bus driver have to “waste time” as each stop have a timeframe to reach. Too fast and the driver has to slow down or in this case stop at a bus stop and open the door. Too slow and he has to speed up.

That's because u dont belong to the the time of "cck mrt last station on the line" Everyone was all about "bishan mrt last train ghost" , what a load of crap, many times i take last train (when the story is still current) and no ghosts
