you can see it with the theming, designs, music, and merch that it’s centered around f1. while I was at the park on the 4th and 5th there was some really cool merch in the shop that was based off of an f1 suit/jersey

I rode it this week. The back row has an awesome view on the spire. That second of weightlessness is insane. Can’t wait to try front row next time.

I went to Cedar Point on opening day and I loved it. They have so many good coasters and I love them all. Top Thrill 2 is the best ride ever and it is always worth the wait. I can’t wait to go there all the time in the summer

Because modifying the tophat at all would be crazy expensive, make the already intense roll down the tophat even more intense, and would be pointless because falcons flight is supposed to open next year.

I used to work at ceader point. I started working there the year Top Thrill was opened. I remember my first time riding. I'm not a fan of roller coasters or heights. So yes I was terrified.

Rod this on day 1 with little expectation to enjoy it as much at the original. But I was very happy to be wrong. In theory, I felt it would be lacking the “umpf” that make the original so good. I was so wrong. J could easily understand someone liking this one even more than the first. I’m damn near close to that

I see a lot of mixed opinions on this ride too, sadly I can't really compare to the original since I never rode it and I haven't gone on kingda ka either. I hopefully will ride TT2 this summer so I'll be able to judge if this is a good ride or not, I honestly wouldn't see why not.

My only complaint is that they should’ve made the beginning launch barely hit the top like it used to for its iconic roll backs then go all the way back. That would’ve made it twice as cool

The 3 launches are better than the 1 launch. HOWEVER, the seats sit higher above the track than they did before. The coaster wobbles harder and it took me by surprise. Overall it's barely better than the old one. It would be golden if they lowered the seats.

Just remember, there will be metal detectors. No phones, bags, glasses will need to be secure or not worn, basically anything that can fall and hurt someone cannot go on with you.

@@Jimmylovessalt Not at all, Top Thrill Dragster was smoother than Kingda Ka, but the launch was still not smooth and had a bit of a rattle to it. Some launched roller coasters are rougher than this.

Yes. The first ride had a launch up to 120 miles per hour in atleast 4 seconds. The new ride has 3 launches, first launch 74 miles per hour, second 101 backwards, third 120 forwards. To make that backwards element they had to add a spike that is NEW and is also 420 feet high in the air like the Top Hat. Including a new launch system. So if you are really asking, YES, this is a new ride. Its experience is longer than the original’s experience, the old one was about 30 seconds, new one is about 1 minute, or 2 seconds counting the break run.

I'm not really a big fan of the grey they used. They should have just used Blue on the supports just like the station to give it a pop of color much like Dragster did with its yellow.

Just buy the Fast Pass Plus. It’s worth it. I know it’s $145 but you get one ride on TT2 with less than a 30 min wait. That line will be 4 hours long every day in May and June. For 2 min. Get the pass.

Im sorry, 101mph BACKWARDS launch up a 420ft backspike!? Jesus i just rode pantheon on bush gardens 3 times in a row and its nothing in height to this montrosity.... Hell griffon is the tallest drop in the in the park at just over 210ft feet, thats HALF of the freaking backspike on this thing!
