I'm sorry for your loss. Nobody expects losing a furbaby to hurt as badly as it does, but it's good that you have all that footage with good memories. I lost my dog last summer, and the pictures and videos really do help. Much love to you and your family. Stay strong.

I so sorry that you lost your dog. We call them dogs, but they are really our kids. At least you have video of him doing the things he loved to do. And that beach is so beautiful. Gorgeous and I can see all the memories you are making there.

At 6:45, that little boat hide is one heck of a piece of work. Even appears to be notches for a sort of door or gate as well as stairs cut in the stone. It must have an interesting story behind it.

I can tell you by many times over this same heart break actually does it end when you find another pet who need you so desperately and will be so grateful and loving to you. Your lifelong patch would have a last wish being that you would pass on the love you gave to him or her to another dog who is in desperate need of you❤️❌❌❌

Sorry for your loss man! My dog died 17 years ago and I still miss him. I am however grateful for the fantastic moments we shared. The best secret beach in Scotland IMHO is Kearvaig bay, although I doubt the whether up there ever gets this nice.

Shaun, I am so sorry about the loss of your precious cocker. We recently lost our dog, Willie from throat cancer. It just about killed us. Time does help.... you never forget, but it is easier to cope with time. Hugs..... to you and your wife.

So sorry for your loss. Our fur babies make an incredible impact on our lives and here or passed on, still remain with us in our hearts. Shaun come on over to the west coast, specifically either Ardrossan South Beach, or Ayr Beach and let everyone see one of the other jewels of scenery here in Scotland. The Isle of Arran (some proclaim it was Avalon) can be seen on a clear day along with Paddy's Milestone aka Ailsa Craig. Many a castle overthis side of Scotland too, Kelburne, Eglinton, Culzean (Cull ain for pronunciation purposes) I would really love to go and see Smoo Cave some time up in Durness. Been to many places in Scotland, born n bred in Glasgow, but now live in Ayrshire. There is still so much about our beautiful country I have not even seen yet. Really need to get ma arse intae gear :D xx

Ahhh, mine love to romp on the beach too...but here in BC. They get so excited when they see their favourite spot....so sorry you have lost your beloved fur baby. My late husband grew up in Largs, not as nice a beach but they have the Vikingar Museum, Nardinis Ice Cream and lots of history. Would be fun to see you go there. Always love your vlogs Shaun. Very good chance He might return to you in another pet, don’t lose the chance. (It’s happened to me before) Plus, the love you have for him is love you could bestow on another and heal your heart. Grief is love not having a place to reside. My all time favorite quote: “The price of a great dog is a broken heart at the end” - Rudyard Kipling I’d gladly have a broken heart then miss the love and years of joy that my dogs have given me. I lost a springer of 13 in January. I too have a broken heart.

Awe so sorry to hear your family member has passed 😔, whether they are 7, 10 , or 18 years, it's never long enough to have them by our side. Your heart needs to heal. But you will have room there in the future I'm sure for another . But just enjoy the memories you have with the little guy. I live in a beach town (Santa Barbara, California) but that is a great beach! My husband proposed to me also on my favorite beach here. Sea cliff Beach reminds me of Dornoch beach in the north of Scotland where our friends live.

So, I visited Scotland in September from sunny Southern California. We've now had the wettest, coldest winter I've ever experienced. It's rained multiple times a week, every week. I must have brought the SoCal weather with me to Scotland and brought Scotland's weather back with me.

I feel for you Shaun! Lost my 13 year old Brittany Spaniel Sasha on Jan 3/18, and its hard! Miss her every day. Hugs!

Coincidentally my favorite beach is also Sea Cliff, but the one in northern California. The beach is nestled between the Pacific and a hundred foot cliff that runs the length of it. While it is beautiful, I also love it for the schadenfreude factor. Atop the majestic cliff are mansions built by people with a grand vision, a grander budget, and no understanding of erosion. Their once spectacular patios and decks were given a reality check by mother nature and dangle in ruins over the cliff. Can't help but laugh when I see it (at a healthy distance from the base of the cliff). I'm a terrible person. ;-)

I also had beloved dogs named Shiloh and Toby. Shiloh was the happiest beagle and Toby was a silly cocker spaniel..
