Why do the press constantly try to stir up hatred between Pep & Mikel? They've worked together and enjoyed a good relationship. We should be happy the 2 top managers like and respect each other. After all these man are role models and they're sending out the right message.

TBH the way he talks about Arteta and Arsenal here shows he loves Arteta and really wanted ARTETA to go to ARSENAL and succeed there, so much so that he sold Jesus and Zinchenko to Arsenal only to help Mikel out or something. Pep is the GOAT Manager and Mentor, even helping his assistants to succeed and achieve big. His impact and influence on managers around these days is profound. ETH etc too

@Danny Buck They definitely did, he knows without Messi he will get sacked. Also Pep is a checkbook manager - Barca is 500M in debt or something, he can't spend if he goes Barca. Which is why he isn't the right guy for the job. Barca needs someone like Arteta, who can make average players like Nketiah into Decent players.

@Danny Buck Listen if Pep wanted to go back he would have not been renewing his contract at Manchester City. Unless you have been living in another planet. The current President of Barcelona wanted Pep back when Barcelona was in crisis but Pep rejected it. He has been there and knows Barcelona in and out and didn't want be part of that crisis where Messi leaves the club he had known all his life crying. Please put one plus one together and know what it is.

He's already been there and done that and until they sort out their buisness Barca isn't exactly the best career move, also he has unfinished buisness at City (gotta at least get ONE UCL out of all of this right?) but it's very clear and always has been clear that no matter what team he's coaching in whatever country, Barca is his team, that's where his heart is. Maybe one day he'll return if his time in the PL hasn't completely exhausted him from coaching altogether.

The journalist asking back to back indepth questions seems just a little too condescending and seems like not the time and place to ask this. Let's not be naive, this could have been bait to starting beef. I mean what kind of question is "was he brave enough to tell you when you were wrong" other than to get potential twisting words headlines. Pepe handled it well.
