I did see you speaking to some people outside. I'm in your video but only from the back stood in the queue from approx 3.17 to 3.48 with the bald head and blue jacket. The door that I am stood at the side of opened a couple of times to let venue staff in and I caught a glimpse of Fami looking out and gave a wave and got a little wave back. I felt like a little teen fanboy for a few seconds. I think that was the hospitality room behind those shutters.

Fantastic vlog !! Thank you for this ! It was also very good quality - both visual and audio. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the ladies flew half-way around the world, and landed with only about 24 hours before the gig. Not sure how much rest they had on the flight and when they arrived, but if it was me, I'd be terribly jet-lagged. It certainly won't be me performing a fast-paced metal show for nearly 2 hours after a long flight ! And they did it with energy and broad smiles all the way through. It shows how phenomenal this band is.

Fantastic footage. And what a professional band they are - playing that dwarfish venue and then giving it all. i love this band even more now - if that's possible. Tuesday I myself will be seeing them live in Lindau/Germany. My day of the year.

Looks like it was an awesome concert, and getting to see their sound check was probably a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I agree with you entirely, I've seen them in large venues in Japan and festivals in the UK but I think that's a once in a lifetime opportunity to see them up that close. From the way the bonded with the crowd during the soundchecks you knew it was going to be something special and Miyako forever the perfectionist made sure the sound was good, as for Fami she fits in so well it's as if she's been in the band from the start. Asami enjoyed the banter with the crowd, Midori forever smiling and how does Haruna keep the brutal drumming up without rest. As musicians they can't be bettered and seeing the human side made it even more enjoyable and I think at least half the crowd have tickets for Islington. They are LOVEBITES and they play HEAVY METAL.

Amazing to see them in this small venue. Fami is just as cute with a serious look on her face or the awesome smile.

It's crazy to think how they managed to put such an awesome show in such a tiny stage.

It was a fantastic gig. I was so knackered that on the way home i literally couldn't get up the last flight of stairs at London Bridge! 😂 I had to have a rest! Such a great evening and the train home was a zen moment. An hour and a half on a train with only 2 other people on it and reliving what i'd just seen.

I was there, too. It was such a precious experience.

What a concert the band were dynamite. I got in early to go get the merchandise which was downstairs . The ladies were trying to sorth out their sound issues, and we walked across the hall to get downstairs. When we got our merch we went back upstairs but queued at the entrance to the hall. But some dude orobably venue management ushered us in. I could see the look of surprise on Asami's fac e but she soon recovered and we saw them trying to fix their sound issues and Asami would occassionaly make a joking comment to us. It was like a free concert as the band would start playing whilst they tried to sort out the issue. I think it was to do with in ear monitors, non of the ladies could hear Asami. After about half an hour the ladies left the stage (beer time?) but Miyako came back and I suspect it was her and the audio guy that got it sorted. During all this the ladies were in their street clothes, and I wouldn't have minded if they had played the gig like this. However when they came on in their new outfits I think my jaw hit the follor, they were stunning and Asami well what can I say, I have no words to do her justice. The concert was just amazing. I was right up front almost directly in front of Asami, I could have stretched out may hand and shook hands with her. What an amazing vocalist first off, but also what a fantastic, dynamic, engaging frontwoman. Always moving, dancing, engaging a fan with her eyes and pointing at them and smiling. I also had a great view of Fami. Fami and Asami seemed to have no hangups about playi ng a small venue, Asami especially seemed to be having a ball. Couldn't see much at all of Midori as she was off to my far left, and I should have had a great view of Miyako but the was a fricking pole in the way. B y the end of the concert I was knackered and soaking in sweat. I was a bit self conscious at the Meet and Greet getting my photo taken with the ladies in case I smelled all seaty but they didn't seem to mind. What amazed me Asami did not seem to sweat despite all her movement on stage. I have long wanted to see Band-Maid in a small venue but guess that will never happen and so glad I was able to Lovebites in on e in all their pomp and glory (I suspect that may never happen again after this tour of Europe and US). Sorry about the long spiel but I enjoyed myself so much and was so impressed with them

Thank you so much for posting this 🙏 It was an amazing experience and I absolutely agree with everything you said. To be so close to the girls was just surreal. At one point Midori got her hair dangled over her nose but had to carry on playing, I almost leant over and moved it for her!!! But yes, on a selfish level, it was like a private show. They were so cool, reacting to the audience, respnding to calls from the crowd. They even came to say hello to us early arrivals in the queue. Super talented, highiy professional and yet still so humble. I feel so blessed to have experienced it...and hopefully we will do it all again on June 1st! Hello from Canada, thanks for uploading this video you did a great job on it I’m really glad you enjoyed your experience seeing LOVEBITES in person (ngl I’m kinda jealous lol it would be nice if they came to Canada someday lol) anyway I hope the ladies lived up to the hype we have been giving them but as long as you enjoyed it that’s all that matters. On a side note I noticed that a lot of major brands have been downgrading their venues and even cancelled their shows because of poor ticket sales where as LOVEBITES have been upgraded their venues (especially their gigs in the states) but many fans are preferring the more intimate venues over the bigger stadiums and arenas witch is good for smaller venues like the one you were at because it helps them bring in revenue for them over the big ones ✌️👉🇨🇦

Wow .. very nice. In the end i always loved concerts in smaller locations much more than in bigger halls or stadions. I remember back in the days i saw first Al Di Meola in a smaller location and a few days Frank Zappa and then Peter Gabriel in a bigger hall, and the Al Di Meola concert was just so much better because of the intimcy it had. I mean Zappa and Gabriel were of course also fantastic, but seeing them just from a distance is not the same like when you can nearly touch them. And here also with the sound check first, that must have been really great 🤘🏼🤘🏼😉😉🤘🏼🤘🏼

Very cool, Great footage to show the band in such a pure raw moment. Fami & Midori looked happy and Asami was really showing the crowd what she is made of, such a great band live. I hope the small clubs are behind them, the stage was tiny, and they had to carefully tiptoe around each other. Thanks for the excellent report and footage, showing us the experience.

I've seen Band-Maid in front of 250 (an additional venue added to the tour in 2019) and they were probably more popular then than Lovebites are now. I'm sure bands at this level play small venues often enough for it not to be a shock to them. I think small venues are great, unless the sound is poor, but normally it is very good if the venue is primarily a music venue.

Will be seeing them in Paris on the 25th. Was at their first concert in Paris a few years ago. I feel that the crowd will be massive compared to the first time

Every Japanese band over the last 10 years or so have played in these small clubs in Europe and the United States. There are quite a few Band Maid videos of them playing small clubs. Also Rolling Quarts' US and Europe tours.

Three words "The Metal Queens"

Epic gig!!! The venue for the next London date (1st of July 2024) is about twice the size. I was getting a bit concerned during the soundcheck when the GA crowd were first let in 'cos they clearly weren't getting any sound into their earpieces, and Asami was saying (in Japanese) to the Japanese crew that they can't perform without it. The situation was genuinely "YABAI".
