I love the whole "bait the scammers, find them, ruin them" thing that's going around. I remeber seeing a recording/random playback of "confused old grandad" for voice-call scams, just to waste as much of their time as possible. Love it!

The map location you showed & the savvy of some of the operators you interacted with makes me wonder about state actors, as well as organised crime groups in the crypto scam space... Stay safe out there people.

I don't think that person got mad at you. He just recognized your attempt to gather infos about him and was kind enough to make you notice that your attempt blatantly failed. Btw, it would be nice to see what you're doing with those infos. Cause in my home country doing what you did is as much as it's possible to do without getting into legal troubles. But I've seen people in the US do much more, like hacking their computer and watching the scammers' webcam and stuff like that.

Scammers dont use VPN or proxys 😂. Just small code of php and you can capture header information why using free tools when you can do urself.
