Yeah, he made a party in the middle of a heat wave and gave them a party costume requirement or something like that so they dropped due to the heat because the event prevented them to change to hot weather clothing.

I've found a workaround to the bug with joining household not working. The issue is if the sim you're trying to make join your household doesn't live anywhere / "not in world". I moved the sim i wanted to join my household onto an actual lot in the world and then it worked.

Having your sim join the new sim in "not currently in world" also works, though you do need to remember to check the "sell all furnishings" check box if you intend to move back into the same lot, and you lose any food in the refrigerator.

I'd agree with that but so many of James issues are caused by him using mods what would they learn from watching his content other than he doesn't know how to play the game or how his own mods work?

Exactly, it’s so frustrating. I had to remove any of my builds in Tomorang since For Rent is just beyond broken. My fault for buying it for my birthday, instead of waiting to see what was going to go wrong. 🤦🏻♀️

@@HannahJo32It actually isn’t. He doesn’t always use mods. I have mods and For Rent is horribly buggy without. There’s people everywhere talking about how bad For Rent is, that doesn’t use mods at all. It’s 10 years old, it’s a really old game compared to when other Sims came out. It’s pretty much at Skyrims level at this point…

I encountered the same merge households glitch in a Sims in Bloom save of my own. The only way I could go around it was to modify the family in the Manage Worlds menu. So frustrating when you're doing divorces and new marriages.

It's not a bug tho. This is how the game has worked on console since I started playing it in 2018. Simtubers & PC cheaters just don't know how to play the game because they all use mccc or some other mod that changes the game in some way so they don't understand the actual game mechanics at all.

@@HannahJo32 Nope. This is a recent bug where you literally cant merge households through the dialogue option and it softlocks the game. If that has been happening to you since you bought it, then your game is broken.

Fire and Drowning are not the best ways in Sims 4 to kill a Sim. I have found a sauna, and removing the door, is the best way.

Thats a good one but death flower arrangement is a 100% kill so its like pulling off a headshot in the sims. Much more effecient.

@@organicstorm As in reliable. Fire is iffy and it takes so long for drowning. I tried to kill a Sim couple (was playing a Snow White challenge and needed her natural parents to die), and I went through so many different types of death. When i did Sauna, it actually worked easily and fairly quickly.

For the record: I think it's common to kill your Sims by trapping them in a burning small area, so I highly doubt it's meant at all to reference that horrible and unacceptable tragedy. But it's wild once your brain connects them.

Clones of the same sim create some bugs like that. I did the 100 infants at once challenge with clones of my sim and every time she was pregnant, all of her clones looked pregnant too. Oh, making yourself a ghost was a failure at dedeathify. It's only temporary, but you figured it out.

So glad others are posting that this is an issue! I thought it was only me! I am a newer player and was so excited to have my first “ask to move in” and it wouldn’t work. Had to close my game to get out of the screen. 😢 Is there a workaround to be able to move in a friend?

Idea: for every 1000 Simoleons you have to use a different method, eg. 1000 via Job(s), 1000 via painting, 1000 via gardening, 1000 via fishing and so on. You can't use a method twice.

Insurance fraud as a spellcaster is the most surefire way to make money. Butn a lot of super expensive couches and tabkes and scruberoo them once you get the insurance money. Rinse and Repeat.

You should do a black widow type thing where you marry Father Winter and get his money, then kill him and marry the next Father Winter that spawns, marry him, get his money, kill him, etc. etc. It'd take a lot of spamming romantic socials but I think marriage is achievable in a day, esp. with the right traits. Then you could make it so that every day is Winterfest by just adding holidays for each day and putting the Father Winter tradition in each one.

You shouldn't sell potions that you got while experimenting. You could put them in the world, then fix them with "repario", AND THEN A LOT OF "CopyPasto". Now you don't need apples, and other ingredients, because you can just copy your potions a lot of times.

Pro tip for future - If you ignite the bed when sim is sleeping in it then that sim is guaranteed dead. Works EVERY time, so it's faster than fireworks and other igniting stuff.

The fire WILL kill them. I once had my simself trap people in her basement, put a firepit down there and they couldn't help themselves and there was ALWAYS a fire. Some fires took awhile to kill someone and other times it was quick but fire is a more entertaining way to kill sims lol

I had that household bug recently when my Pack Legacy married a townie. I had to edit from the Manage Worlds screen. They were generated to work at a diner and didn't live in a world either; I wonder if that is part of the problem.

something fun you could do is try to scam the insurance company: if you get the smog vacuum from eco lifestyle you can restore something that is burned so if you keep burning your furniture you will get money from it because it burned but then you can fix it again with the vacuum and you just repeat that process

While not being able to exit the menu is definitely a glitch, I think not being able to join households while doing the Making Money scenario must be intentional. Otherwise you could just solve it by joining with a rich Sim.

I had the same bug where adding people to your household completely glitches out!! I clicked escape a bunch of times and that seemed to fix to let me out of the menu, and then I added them through manage worlds
