Yeah that car turned out pretty sweet. I would take the top to somebody that specializes in fiberglass work. They would reenforce it so it's stronger than it was originally.

Just a suggestion to look at if that kit keeps getting destroyed. Try one of the poly kits like kbd. A lot of people I’ve met that street drive/drift 240s/miatas recommend it. Better than destroying kits on speed bumps and stuff like that. Plus it’s great for a ‘kit low’ car.

Looks a lot like a oem miata color thats pretty rare, but just cooler and more flake which i love. Colors are: mica merlot, mahogany mica and black cherry mica

Oh and some Miatas came with a similar looking color from factory. Only on the NB2s as far as I know and some RX8s. Is called Black Cherry Mica and its amazing. My Miata is that color and I'm probably never gonna change it.

Evan, the hardtop cant be traditionally fiberglassed. The hardtop is made with sheet molded compound so it has to be repaired with an epoxy like boat repairs. I had this issue with my hardtop but found this out and it made my life easier.

Maybe the best car build series you have done. Bonding and showing her the ropes of the modded car world has been great. I will miss this series and hope when she gets the hang of the manual she brings it back to take it to the next level. Aka turbo n stuff.

The OEM hard tops aren't fiberglass. If you can find a shop that has experience with repair Corvette tops, they're made out of the same thing.
