Your be fine on your test especially as you have a way to practice. one bit of advise for the U turns and figure of 8 is to look where you intend to go I’m sure you was already told this but remembering that when doing it makes all the difference.

I gotta say, of late, the engine swap videos are getting a bit tiresome, especially with the constant issues and having to bodge things together, BUT, this is a real breath of fresh air. Had one of these back in 2009 when I passed my test, cracking machine. It was a little ahead of its time with radial front calipers, adjustable rev limiter, lap timer, led rear lights and good power. Enjoy it 👌

I’ve passed my bike test just before Christmas and just a little tip when your doing your cones just play with your clutch it’s all about clutch control to stop you loosing balance at such a slow speed, avoid putting your foot down going around them aswell. My instructor was strict and gave me a hard time 😆

Nothing better than getting around the country on a bike taking it all in in the summer. I've a S1000R best of both world. 170whp and mental but it's a naked and it just wants to turn in unlike my old CBR1000RR lol.

Best of luck Lee, I've always loved cars and bikes. I did my bike test 18 years ago so no bother with Direct access back then but went straight out and bought a CBR 600 before upgrading to a GSXR 750 then a Blade. They're not that scary once the clutch control is mastered and you'll soon pick it all up. Nothing like a good ride out with mates, so much easier to make progress past traffic on sunday rides than being in a car but just watch out for d1ckheads pulling out - Noisy cans save lives! Enjoy mate.

One thing I was taught while doing tight U turns was while at slight revs and feeding the clutch, also feather back brake it helps you stay more stable, don't know why but it seemed to work for me

Not watched the whole video yet but got to where you do your cbt. I found the cbt great fun when I did that did the mod one and two last year and they was not that fun at all but when I got to ride the bike back after the final test without the instructor or anyone it was great fun.

Got to be honest mate, i was like you, a staunch car enthusiast. Although i still love cars, bikes are something else! Im much more into bikes now! They're easier to work on, they're rapid for next to no money and they are an experience like no other. I will also say that there appears now to be a lot less toxicity in the bike 'scene' than car 'scene' now. Once a biker always a biker! Great to have you on board mate! 🏍🏍

Best advice I can give: ride about for a while after your test, maybe 6 months or so, and then get some advanced training. Especially being on a quicker bike. Will give you so much more confidence in corners, and make for a much more enjoyable experience.

B1H is a nice ride to be fair. A friend used to have one so I took it for a quick run down the road. Needs to get right up in the rev range to find the power, but it's nice and smooth getting there. Would recommend you revert the shifter to regular setup and then just allow lots of saddle time getting your muscle memory for throttle control. You'll love it :)

Been 10 years this year since I passed my full bike test (I'm 30), absolutely amazing experience from start to finish absolutely love bikes! Love cars too but only got into cars 6 years ago. The biking community and just riding in general is something else.. I was gonna say if you're struggling with the U turn on the mod 1, really good tip for that is move off and be close to the line obviously, then as you're about to start the actual turn, pull in the clutch so it's not engaged to the engine, turn in, and rel release the clutch very slightly with no gas while in the U turn, it helps keep the bike stable by pulling you round but it's not fast enough to make you go too wide! If that makes sense.. Enjoy mate and be safe 👍

Timing of this is nuts. Been watching since your ST150 days at the time I’d recently bought one. Couple of weeks ago I’ve booked my DAS as well with BMW Mid April so will also be the killing the trigger. Fairly set in the F900XR!

This is gonna be hilarious lee... Love it 😂 brings back so many memories already. Also did you shift up to go into first gear? If so then it has GP shift aka race shift so the lever is reversed. Highly recommend switching it back to normal for road riding. Looking forward to the rest of the bike vids! Also when you get some experience and fancy a race lmk 😉😂

Glad to see you wanting to do your bike test it's great having a bike to go out on😁 one thing I would do is change the short levers to standard ones I had a pair on my gsxr750 and found it harder pulling them in they look the part but I find they make it harder

You did a review of the BMW M2 comp and i liked that review and watched it many times i now have one 2019 M2C in LBB . I have 2008 Kawasaki ZX6R P7F and have had ZX6Rs in the last 17 years . Even though your bike is nearly 20 years old its still fast even by todays STANDARD . Wait till you pass your test and get it out on the open road . Ride safely and know your limits

Passed my test 3 years ago i have had lots of fast cars nothing compares to a bike i got a brand new ZX6r when i passed its a big learning curve slighty wish i got something slower to learn properly at first, starting track days this year just booked donnington, get yourself some proper leathers though i have seen a lot of people get injured unnecessarily from not wearing proper gear, stay safe!.

Bike looks great! Go steady with those tyres, they’re pretty track focussed and when cold could very easily catch you out

Passed first time and brought a cbr600rr, rode that for a few months and soon got bored of the power and size of bike so since got a 1000rr fireblade so much fun and terrifying speed so happy I did it though the adrenaline rush is next level after a spirited ride out

awesome to see man and a small tip for you which will help in slow manuvors, Look where you want to go so if a u turn then literally look behind you at where you want to end up and the bike will go there. Also with turning get off centre so lean your body, get your head off centre and the bike will turn alot easier

im 17 and ive just bought a 125 after riding my mates 50cc absolutely love bikes and i cant wait to be riding

Just my 2 pence, as I did mine nearly 4 years ago. You've got the basics with the slow maneuvers, just practice that relentlessly. That bike will make it hard for you though. Observations... Get softer clutches, get proper gear, and definitely get rid of those tyres. Supercorsas will knock your confidence. As a noob you'll never get them up to temperature on the road. There's plenty of fast road options out there that will heat up as you need. Also if you think it's fast now, wait till you see 10k rpm+ 😂

Great 1st bike 👍🏼 I would just change the clutch springs if those are too hard. It's a wet clutch that's why you can slip the clutch unlike a car which will just give you that lovely burnt clutch smell lol. That's called a fast idle not a choke 👍🏼

Delighted you made transition.. couple of tips.. if that was a track bike make sure it’s not on race tyres.. unless they are warm then they are like riding on ice.. tip for u turn.. drop your inside shoulder and look further round.. also try not to focus on the say curb look at something 3/4 of your turning point and again “up the road” don’t listen to everyone.. some people give advice and have hardly ridden.. I’m an instructor at Mondello Park in Ireland and we do track training days.. see if you uk have them it’s a great way to learn your bike in a controlled environment
