As a nurse that’s why you never leave the country without a prescription of antibiotics and, pain meds a first aid kit with disinfectant and a current tetanus shot. Glad you healed up. I forgot but my Granddad used diesel on the farm!

I was like five and one time while carving a bar of soap sliced my finger and my mom and dad were freaking out because I was just real calm the whole time I washed it under water in the sink and I looked at my brother and went hey I think we need to go to the hospital and he freaked out and grabbed our mom and dad and mom and dad were grabbing bandanas wrapping them around my hand the whole time I was calm they were all freaking out and they weren't the ones bleeding but me being so calm is also what scared them because in the words of the doctor to my parents "I dont know what 5 year old is this calm seeing that much of their blood running but it is this one"

I learned so much from this video the first time and I’m extremely glad you posted it again. My sister is an ER doc for several small hospitals in my state. She’s been wanting to watch this and, of course, I couldn’t find it. She’s quite interested in emergency first aid to suggest to rural farmers and hunters who ask her advice a lot. You needed direct pressure on the wound and a doctor to get that bleeding to stop. you more than likely hit a vein in the muscle and that's why you were bleeding so long.

Okay, so I'm going to start from the beginning of the clip. 1: Don't walk around while trimming a tree branch. That's just dangerous anyway. 2: If you feel like you need to cut towards yourself, turn the stick around and cut aways from yourself, but still in the direction you need to. 3: Hands bleed a decent amount, eve if it isn't very bad. Obviously, I can see that it is a pretty bad cut and will need stitches this time. But generally, I find that hands bleed more than other parts of the body. 4: You should probably find a cloth to wrap around the cut instead of walking around with it open. Rinse it and bandage it quickly. You have now kept it in the air long enough for bacteria to get into the cut. 5: Sorry, but ur very handsome...... 6: Yes, rinse it, but start putting pressure on it. Don't keep opening it, your body is trying to heal and scab up, which is a good thing, but pulling the cut open repeatedly is undoing that. 7: Okay, you put a cloth on it... gosh dammit put some pressure on it my lad! And don't keep pulling the cloth away, it only reopens the cut. 8: You are very lucky, cuz you were in good hands. I don't know what you would've done if they hadn't been there. They did you well with the lemon/lime on the cut and cleaning it. They put some pressure on it and taped it up for you. 9: Don't worry about the damn scar, you'd better figure out where the nearest urgent care/hospital is. 10: Don't worry, your mom will just be glad you're okay :) These are just my thoughts throughout the video :) Glad the cute wasn't much worse
