About Ningguang, I personally would put her in Slytherin. She’s highly ambitious even compared to other vision holders, had been planning the jade chamber since she was young and used every resource at her disposal to get to her goal (selling shells to earn money). She’s the Tianquan for a very good reason and won’t hesitate to either shut down a threat (the fatui) or use them to gain an upper hand (us!). It’s kinda implied that after the battle with Osial the agreement she created with the adepti allowed the Qixing to take full control of Liyue, so used the incident to her advantage to establish her position. Also used the destruction of the jade chamber as leverage in the negotiations! Nothing she does is malicious in nature but yeah that’s my reasoning😅. If I’m wrong about anything pls correct me! Ningguang is the purest definition of ambition. She came from nothing and became basically the 'ruler' of Liyue. Also, we must remember Slytherin's values, Leadership (she rules a country with the Qixing), Cunning (she was able to sell anything to anyone, and the Jade Chamber was planned since she was very young), Resourcefulness ( she has tabs on every merchant from Liyue on her board, she basically controls the market).

I think Ayaka in Hufflepuff makes sense considering she was about to storm to the ceremony to rescue Thomas if not for the traveller telling her she can't because of her clan's reputation. She literally embodies loyalty to her friends

Ning is 95% a Slytherin. She showed her resourcefulness in both the jade chamber rising quest, and the main Archon quest. Her cunning shows through her spy network throughout the entire region, as well as having her eyes on both the traveler and fatui from the very start. She doesn’t have much heritage, but her ambition is arguably higher than almost any character with her plans with the jade chamber, and basically her entire life with her rags to riches backstory. That’s just my opinion tho

I'd personally put Wanderer in Hufflepuff. He was someone who was scarred and hurt by the world and didn't know how to cope with it due to his naivety. He really tried hard to find his place in the world. Dottore abused his innocence and manipulated him. And judging by his interactions with some of the harbingers, he wasn't exactly on the greatest terms with them. Even after he altered everyone's memories and was unaffected by Dottore's manipulation, he was still trying to find his place in the world. So to me he feels like a broken Hufflepuff.

The ones I don't agree: Xingqiu - I would put him in Slytherin personally, especially after the last Lantern Rite, absolutely gaslight gatekeep girlboss Ningguang - same as above thb, I would put her in Slytherin, very cunning, very slick, she doesn't really help unless its for her gain, she literally uses children as her informants..xD yeah Diluc - if we say present Diluc, yeah, Slytherin, but if we talk about the past Diluc (so Diluc at the age where he would actually be in Hogwarts) then i'd say Gryffindor Venti - I get your point, but personally i would put him in Ravenclaw, its said he knows past and future, i feel like he knows the most out of all archons but he just hides it Xiao - Honestly between Hufflepuff and Gryffindor Hu Tao - I'd say Revenclaw too Ayaka - i would still put her in Slytherin, both siblings would go to the same house Raiden - Personally I would put Ei in Hufflepuff, she doesn't fit for other houses IMO Yelan - Nah, definitely Slytherin imo Nilou - Hufflepuff , i dont see Gryffindor in her Abyss Twin - Also Hufflepuff, cuz their loyal to Abyss and shit

I think Ninguang is definitely more slytherin. Even in the main quest they point out how manipulative she can be and how she even manipulates the travelers with the largest document on her wall being one only relevant to the traveler and pushing the traveler to agree with her. The traveler even noted afterward how they thought she was playing coy and that "businessmen always act nice when it comes to doing business".

Zhongli is definitely Hufflepuff. He is the god of contracts. Honoring contracts which is all about loyalty is his highest moral value to him. Remember in Harry Potter, the sorting hat sorts students by what they value more so than the traits they exhibit ie Hermione being super intelligent but getting into Gryffindor because her values were more in line with Gryffindor

As a Xiao main, I feel he’s more like hufflepuff simply because he’s very loyal and values friendship. And for Kazuha, I think hufflepuff as well because his whole thing about Tomo and his voice lines during the irodori festival event. Xingqiu seems more like a griffindor cuz he wants to be a hero and literally talks about chivalry.

I never thought Bran would come up with this kind of content for Genshin Impact, nor did I think that it would be *this* good *and* interesting* to watch, join Bran on putting characters into different houses and have my own thoughts about which house should who go into. It's really fascinating, really. Fun as hell, too 😄 Edit: For me, in my opinion, I think Xiao would belong in Hufflepuff. Hear me out, guys: Gryffindor? I don't see much bravery in Xiao, only recklessness. I mean, sure, he has some guts and bravery to be able to do what he do best which is, well, charging head on into danger by himself just to help others. But I think his actions stems mostly from the recklessness he had because of eons of slaughter which basically makes him numb and he just wants to end all suffering, and he had that karmic debt which is basically eating away from inside of him if Venti and Zhongli didn't interfere from time to time. Also, it's not necessary that he "helps" others. It's more like he "protects" others because that is the vow he made with Zhongli along with four other yakshas: "Restore order through slaughter, purged evil through battle, to this we dedicate our lives." Which basically means bringing order to society and protecting humankind from destruction and chaos. Which brings us to why I think Hufflepuff: After millennia of slaughtering monsters and purging evil, with his yaksha brothers and sisters gone along with Rex Lapis, he still stay true to the vow he made with them. Also, instead of running wild and free now that Rex Lapis is gone, he is still loyal to Rex Lapis, now in a human body with a name "Zhongli", and only answers to Zhongli as his superior, no one else. That's loyalty right there, if I ever saw one. Hard-working? Millennia of dedication to uphold the vow, and with it came endless bloodshed. If we have to count his kills ever since he became a yaksha up until now, then the numbers can only be described as "an ocean worth of blood". For the "patience" value, I think he is patience in some way? I mean he is patient with us Travelers or those he knows and consider friends or even just "acquaintances". But if anybody dares to piss him off or endanger those he vowed to protect, then I believe he wouldn't spare some time to think about whether he should bang his polearm on their heads- A-hem! But seriously though, I can't think of why he would be fair-playing. Fighting is bad enough, but killing is a dangerous business. Killing monsters is where life-or-death situations occurs as often as how I eat three meals a day. You can expect some human opponents to like . . . be soft-hearted and let you go if you lose to them (I'm not implying every human enemies, I'm just saying it's not impossible to meet that kind of guy). For monsters, though . . . miracles do happens (just not as often as how I managed to lose my 50/50 every time a banner came out and get my friend's alt account's Qiqi to C6+2 💀), but not always. For monsters or enemies with little to no intellect at all, you have to expect that once you fall to the ground, you're dead. That's why I think Xiao wouldn't hesitate to use every single tricks up his sleeves and whatever he have at his disposal to annihilate his enemy as quick and efficient as possible. His profession is literally slaying monsters, after all. Even when training or sparring with his friends or acquaintances, he still doesn't hold back, and expecting his opponents to give it their all to win against him. So I don't know . . . Anyway, my point still stands: I think Xiao should be put into Hufflepuff. (To anyone who made it this far through my essay-like comment, I'm so sorry for this wall of text in front of you. I would also think of xiao as a Hufflepuff. Hes incredibly loyal to Rex Lapis, during ganyu's story quest he was pretty patient in training her, he's also pretty "fair play" since he doesn't hurt humans even if theyre bad. And hard working is obvious

I feel like Nahida has the qualities to be a Slytherin (not saying she should be but a close contender) because she could be described as cunning and was extremely resourceful with using the Akasha to her advantage.

Qiqi while inexpressive I would put her in Hufflepuff. From her voice lines she works very hard to remember people and work out so her body doesn’t become too stiff. And because she’s inexpressive she’s patient to think hard about remembering things and people.

Nigguang is definitely slytherine, she values power, her character is all based in her ambition and resourcefulness. And she is like slughorn very well connected.

I'd put Ningguang in Slyth myself. I always understood sorting not as the characteristics you have but the characteristics you value. It's why Hermione went to Gryff. She's absolutely smart, but she admired Dumbledore and liked his values back when she was a kid.

Personally, I would put Xingqiu in Gryffindor because of his secret life of fighting people, he literally describes himself as "chivalry" but he is very resourceful due to the commerce guild.

There’s always a crossover with traits of houses and characters so it is hard! I commend you for doing this lol I think it’s important to talk about the cons in houses characteristics even though the pros and cons aren’t necessarily mutually exclusive even between houses themselves. Gryffindor pros: brave, bold, daring Cons: arrogant, self righteous Ravenclaw pros: witty competitive creative intellectual cons: overly competitive, judgmental Slytherin Pros: cunning, ambitious, clever, resourceful Cons: too ambitious any means to an end, manipulative Hufflepuff Pros: accepting, open minded, loyal, hardworking, patient Cons: blind loyalty, easily manipulated, non confrontational Like xiao being in gryffindor makes sense because he is so brave to the point of being reckless and literally was about to sacrifice himself to save the others in the chasm. And he comes off as arrogant when he talks about mortals lol “many mortals fear lighting…incomprehensible. Fear of something so common” and his moral code is quite extreme, so he could be viewed as self righteous. Don’t come for me I love xiao as a character but be honest he is kind of extreme. Alhaitham would be in slytherin no doubt. He is very smart sure, but he calls himself a “feeble scholar” and he shows distrust towards a lot of the scholars in the akademiya in general. Just listening through his voice lines he’s sooo not a ravenclaw. “Book learning alone is not enough to cultivate intelligence. All those scholars in the akademiya are prime examples” “ Truth serves no master. Humankind is not a vehicle for knowledge, nor is knowledge the aim of humankind” he doesn’t value knowledge as a means of success or as a competition he uses his intelligence as a tool in the most cunning and dare I say manipulative ways. Zhongli is hufflepuff imo. As the god of contracts he has to be fair, patient and hardworking. He’s literally not telling the traveler anything about our sibling because of some contract no matter how much we help liyue and even if he wants to. He has to memorize every contract he’s made for thousands of years which is hard work. His family is liyue and the adepti, he’s still wearing his adepti friends suit that he made him hundreds (or thousands idk) of years ago. Hufflepuffs element is literally earth lol I know that’s very surface level but he is the geo archon. He does everything he can for his people even if they don’t know it or even if it costs lives. Ningguang is for sure a slytherin. She came from nothing, and now is the quixing? That’s pure ambition right there. Sure she doesn’t have the lineage thing but climbing the ladder and now practically ruling the city? Any means to an end, aka sacrificing the jade chamber. Come on she’s soo slytherin and I love her for it. A slytherin on your side is so powerful and she’s the perfect example of that. Nilou is a hufflepuff. Hufflepuff is a house that values all the traits of all the houses and more and are all inclusive. The bazaar and her group of performers are all outcasts in the eyes of the akademiya. The outcasts are her family and she is loyal to them and her art form. Just like Cedric diggory who is courageous almost reckless, you’d think he’d be gryffindor but like nilou lacks the arrogance that gryffindors have with their sense of glory. he was always kind to everyone no matter the house they were sorted in just as nilou is accepting to everyone and is like everyone’s bestie even the students of the akademiya after seeing her dance became more open minded. Overall I can see what you were going for in most of your tier list! Like you said, all opinions are valid even if they are wrong lol

I think I would put Diona in Gryffindor. IIRC, didnt she go out in the middle of a thunderstorm or heavy rain to find her drunk dad stuck out there that one time? And based on that I see her as a Gryffindor. Hu Tao makes more sense in Ravenclaw imo. She's so witty, and you know, a bit odd (that's a good thing). Reminds me of Luna in a way. That house is full of odd people. The smarter you are, the more difficult it is to blend in, eh?

Such a fun video :) A few thoughts I had: Slythetin and heritage: I think it’s not enough for a character to have a lot of important relatives and ancestors, to qualify for this slytherin trait, they’d have to place great value on that aspect of themselves. And I was unsure about ravenclaw and wit, does that just mean wit as in being smart or witty as in being funny? Anyway, I agree with most of your choices :)

here's an easy way to do it pair them based on their element Pyro goes to Gryffindor (Fire), Geo and Dendro goes to Hufflepuff (Earth), Anemo goes to Ravenclaw (Wind), Hydro and Cyro goes to Slytherin (Water) as for Electro it can either go to Gryffindor or Ravenclaw because Fire and Wind is the closest element to Lightning

Oddly, I see Zhongli as a Hufflepuff. (Not just becuase Geo and yellow). He's super patient. He's a couple thousand years old after all. He's super loyal. I mean, he's the God of Contracts. Personally I would put Arataki Itto in Slytherin because of heritage and how he focuses so much on his red oni bloodline and continues all the traditions he can and even helped the blue onis as well. Plus he was discriminated against because of his bloodline but still embraces it!

Me personally, I think Wanderer would be Hufflepuff more than Slytherin. For Slytherin, there is the cunningness, but for heritage, that term is vague because we are not sure what is meant here by heritage, whether they embrace their heritage or just that they come from a powerful heritage, so that one is up in the air. For Hufflepuff, he is hard-working and loyal. Hard-working because whenever he sets a goal for himself, he commits himself fully to it and gives his all to reach it and loyal due to how he will try to be useful to whoever needs him out of fear of abandonment. But that's just my take.

Ningguang said she wanted the Jade Chamber to overshadow all of Teyvat's kingdoms. She's ambitious to an insane degree, and her intelligence is much more cunning and politics than book smart. She also holds up one of Liyue's most ancient institutions. She's Slytherin to a T.

For our fiery Benny boi, Hufflepuff may also fit him. Not only a hard worker with high potential in swordsmanship and a lot of patience for his bad luck, Bennett is loyal to his friends and to those in the guild who raised him. Plus, the boi is just not one to trick or purposefully impair others.

As a Sayu main, I can see the little mujina as a ravenclaw. She kinda grew up to be because of the shrine maiden keeping her on edge, so she constantly has to plan out how to shirk off responsibility. She's also smart and well-spoken. She's not actually THAT lazy, she's sleepy cause she's oversleeping cause she wants her growth spurt, the instances she's got the energy she's wanting to share her knowledge so she isn't the last of her ninja ways. ... Seeing her as a house elf makes me sad honestly, even if it's for the memes.

I would have argued Xiao to be in Hufflepuff over Gryffindor actually and let me explain my thought process, Xiao is extremely brave and values others a lot BUT all that bravery comes from his loyalty, he is easily one of the most loyal character you will find, and only someone extremely hard working and dedicated would keep doing their job like he does with the suffering he experiences but he keeps going because of his sense of loyalty toward Rex Lapis having saved him and the duties he gave him! I really think Itto should've gotten a little more talked about as a hufflepuff/slytherin option. He values the sacrifice of the blue oni more than anything. It give major heritage and loyalty vibes. Though he is not the smartest this is more of his core trait in my opinion

Paimon is a Gryffindor. Her best trait is helping the Traveler on their journey. She is brave because every time the Traveler gets knocked down in the face of danger, she is ALWAYS trying to wake them back up. I would say Ravenclaw is a good 2nd choice cause she knows a fucking lot about the world of Teyvat and plans ahead (always tells us where to go next).

I think Diluc would fit both Slytherin and Gryffindor. However, he'd be like Harry and say that he doesn't want to be in Slytherin because Kaeya is there and he doesn't want to be judged by his heritage. He is also the protagonist of his own story, feels like a Gryffindor.

I agree with most of your sorting, except for a few (this is just my own opinion, which is just as valid as your own): Gorou - I would put Gorou into Hufflepuff. He has shown to be brave in certain situations, but I feel like his bravery comes from wanting to help others. Hufflepuffs are also great at finding things, which fits him very well and he’s very loyal to Kokomi. Ningguang - Ningguang was very surprising. I think she is a Slytherin. Most of her actions are performed in a way, which benefit her. Yes, she did give up the Jade Chamber, which is a selfless thing to do, but she knew that she could rebuild it later (which she did). She planned ahead very far to rebuild the Chamber to draw out Osial‘s wife, which would make her a Ravenclaw - but… her main reason for this is to establish her power over Liyue. The adepti could’ve helped with Beisht- if Ningguang was truly concerned for the city, she would do the smart and „easy“ thing of asking the adepti for help. But her own status matter more to her, so she came up with an elaborate plan to boost herself up (which is not a bad thing btw, it clearly worked out). I would therefore say she’s highly ambitious and resourceful and therefore a Slytherin. Heizou - I would say Heizou actually is a Hufflepuff. In his story quest it is revealed that he lies to people to not hurt their feelings - which can lead to disasters in the long run, so he’s not thinking ahead very well. He IS a detective, but he mostly relies on his intuition. He’s rebellious and does things on his term. The driving force behind his job is (spoilers for his friendship rank) his dead friend - he tries to prevent tragedy because he’s loyal to his friend. Alhaitham - is a Syltherin to me. Just 100%. He does pursue knowledge and comes up with elaborate plans, but we need to remember that this guy came up with the whole Archon rescue mission so he could keep his own cushy job ( I say this lovingly, he’s my main). He doesn’t care much about rules and archons and does his own thing. Yeah, people would say that he’s not very ambitious - but that is because we don’t know his ambitions, as he’s very secretive. He’s more „clever and cunning“ than book smart - which he emphasized every time I don’t move his character for 2 seconds.

I would say, QiQi and Sayu would be Huffpuff. They are loyal and will be able to accomplish task. Like QiQi gather herbs for Baizhu and Sayu ninjas for the Yashiro Commission. Kazuha and Alloy are Griffindor as they brave and help others.
