Very disappointed with how they chose to release skins, not only can you get dupes of recolors but the one set of skins (tower battles) we were all hyped for ended up behind a paywall despite never being disclosed, they hyped us up for nothing and it’s very very infuriating.

Honestly i thought there would be more military skins, like you know, because that's the style the game tries to go for. But instead we only get 1 military skin for ranger and a bunch of neko skins with tb skins that cost money... Oh right i forgot, we also got recolor skins, which look awful and completely kill the unique look of every tower's path.

This update blows. Not only are the TB skins locked behind a paywall, but the other skins are all in loot crates. And John even said before he didnt want the skins to be RNG based and for you to just be able to buy the ones you want. To go back on his word on that while also making the crate system suck is so lame. The fact that TDS did loot crates 10x better than this but John used to complain about them in TDS is hilarious. Not only do the TDS crates not give dupes, (yes I know you'll be able to trade them up later on but I also think thats lame) but they also only give you skins for the towers you own. And there wasnt only a 2% chance to get one of the cool ones. I honestly could go on for way longer on why this update is so bad but my comment is long enough

idk im just glad the crates aren't behind robux tbh i think that's what he meant by skins not requiring gambling or whatever. i think he meant it in the sense that he didn't want people spending a bunch of robux so they could try to get lucky since they're actually losing money and Roblox is full of children so it's incredibly unethical but when you're spending game money you're just playing the game that's just a thought also, I'm pretty sure it's not limited to towers you own? maybe I'm wrong but i was gambling a while ago and got extremely confused because i got a skin for a tower i didn't have. in tds you didn't have a 2% chance to get a cool skin, you had to pay to get a cool skin then had to get lucky that it was one you wanted but if you wanna talk about all the other skins that aren't from deluxe crates, idk if that'd be fair since tdx doesn't have enough skins to be compared like that. you still thinking dupe skins are useless despite the trade usability is kinda understandable makes me think you're opinion is more invalid than i did already. it's kinda shocking it got you so upset. it seemed pretty great to me and pretty much everyone else who's comments i read. also i don't get how tds did crates so much better unless you mean they had more skins. the crate is pretty honestly cheap so 🤷♂️ and the TB skins are kind of quite special and im pretty sure john needs to make money off this game or at least more than he is already so 🤷♂️ im not sure about the last part edit: i read the comments on THIS video, and i guess not as many people liked it as i thought but im still sticking to what i thought originally edit 2: idk if you should get copies for legendary skins wtf 😭 i mean if you can trade it sure but if you already have every other skin... maybe a sell option

John said we could choose our own skins but he never specified it for every skin, He did say we can choose our TB skins, and we could, for robux. He never specified that the other skins like the recolor ones are locked behind loot crates. I had a feeling there was a chance for recolor skins to be behind a loot crate and TB skins to be insanely expensive. In the end, I wasn't surprised for the color skins to be behind a loot crate, but for the TB skins I am very disappointed. John technically stuck to his word, but ultimately lost the trust of most of his fanbase.

Honestly this could’ve been done better, the coloured skins are just gonna either not be used at all, or are gonna cause epilepsy to anyone playing with noobs equipping them. The duplicate system is also generally disliked due to it being a waste of money but it can be easily fixed by giving out refunds for example: $100 back for the basic crate

There's gonna be a system where you can use 5 common duplicates to make an uncommon skin and then use 5 uncommon skins to make an epic skin and so on. Legendary Duplicates can also be turned into other Legendary skins

Elite let's be honest here, tdx is way better than tds and tdx has proven how money hungry they are with this update. They want to make profit off of copy paste skins and have became the first game to do a "collab" that costs robux. Not only are the skins copy paste and money hungry, but they are absolute garbage. A wise gamer once said, cosmetics is not considered an update. I mean, the game isnt even as fun as tds and it feels like John is taking advantage of his fans by taking their time and wallets.

After 12 days of getting from 0-100 and getting every tower (including warship), i started testing the skin crates and decided to just spend 6k,but for some reason i got 5 legendary skins in those 6k (the skins were neko sniper,ghost jug,catgirl and cyber neko edj,and catgirl operator)
