I Spent 2 Months Photographing Florida's Wildlife

This past summer I visited an array of Florida habitats, enjoying wildlife both big and small.... and sometimes even toothy! Join me as I share the stories of rare sightings, new life, and an appreciation for a smaller world among us!
All video and pictures were taken with a Canon R7 & RF 100-400mm lens.

There is so much to this video! Great story, love the macro and the bird shots and glad you got some lifers in your visit! I have yet to see the Dickcissel, but it showed up on the Merlin app briefly last year. Well done!

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed! 😁 I shoot in manual mode with auto iso. Shooting manual allows me to adjust my aperture and shutter speed to my liking for the given scene/photo. I shoot my photos in CRAW, but if you don’t have a program to edit in post then I wouldn’t suggest shooting in CRAW as the pictures will look flat if they aren’t edited. Instead shoot JPEG. For autofocus I have Servo with subject tracking on to detect animals with eye detection enabled. Drive mode I shoot high speed continuous + with Mechanical shutter. Hopefully that helps! Let me know if there are other specific settings I haven’t mentioned that you’d like to know and I’d gladly share! :)
