I Spent $250 on old Cameras at a Going out of Business Sale!

I spent $250 on a box of untested DSLR and point and shoot digital cameras, from a local pawn shop going out of business. All of these are untested, so it's a given that some won't work, but join me to see if the gems in this lot will help pay for and hopefully get to the profit with this buy!

Love the Ray Lamontagne poster. Saw him over here in England. He was outstanding, my favourite singer songwriter. Another great video 👍

Thanks! I've seen him live only once, but it was a great show! He's a super talented songwriter, you're absolutely correct. I am not a huge fan of his newer stuff, but his first couple releases were superb. Thanks for watchin!

you can use a electric toothbrush to clean the dust of the sensor. just turn it on an hold it to the camera it will rattle around and the vibrations might remove the dust from the sensor.

I...I need to try and on my RX10....I may disable the lens stabilizer so it stays more rigid as a whole. Thanks for the tip!

I find it funny that the first Pentax camera has a Canon strap, since I currently use a Canon camera with a Pentax strap

I recently obtained a canon 5d3 that is a bit scratched up and kind of dried vinyl wrapping and i am wondering if you might suggest something to clean it and then protect it (both the vinyl and the rest of the black scratchy body). i'm so interested in your business. i love old cameras. how do you find untested lots? like how do you know they're legit?

Hi! You're right, buying from a reputable source that's trustworthy is important, otherwise you could get a box of "lemons". I've built up a network of suppliers over the years, and also go to a lot of sales locally. If you live in a larger city, you could check local auctions. I've bought from schools/universities that are getting rid of excess inventory in bulk. Garage sales, church sales, flea markets-they can all be good opportunities too.
