Today, I recreated Mario Kart in Minecraft! The end was HILARIOUS, so stick around if you wanna see me play it. As the title says, this video took over 50 hours to produce in its entirety, so subscribing would absolutely make my day.

I like that you actually explain what you're doing in depth rather than skipping over it. Most other command block channels don't actually do that! Love your content and keep up the good work!

Every mario track has 3 checkpoints. Which are divided into zones. Start to checkpoint 1 is zone zero ( this extends back beyond one starting grid.) Checkpoint 1 to check point 2 is zone one Checkpoint 2 to checkpoint 3 is zone 2 Checkpoint 3 to the line is zone 3 however the lap checkpoint is actually in front of the line.

Wow! Amazing project that truly shows the extents Ice Boat Racing in minecraft can reach. Perhaps you'd like to expand those horizons? this is really an inspiring video! people have been making boat race maps on my server so I've been looking into ways to make them more similar to mario kart. I'm definitely gonna use some of your ideas :D

After all the complicated stuff is done and ur confident about the coding etc, you could add more detail to the track. As we can see, u used ice as the road. If you had nothing else to do you could perhaps re create a snow or winter track from any of the Mario kart games. (GBA snow land would be nice and simple)

Dukky, You Should Use Mr. Crayfish's Vehicle mod Next Time, It Has Go-Karts And Boost Pads/Ramps! Edit: And If You Hold W and S at the same time while stopped, You can Get A Speed boost! (Like in Mario Kart)

I play on console and the best way to ice boat is to rely on turns to look around rather than looking around and getting confused.

A solution implies there was a problem :P There was never a problem, I own Mario Kart and I play it a ton. It seems like you're implying that I made this so that I can play Mario Kart, which isn't correct. I made it because it makes for a good video, it was fun to make, it improved my skills, and my friends had a ton of fun playing it! That's like saying an alternative solution to doing a puzzle is to just buy the finished image. Yes, it might look cleaner, and yes, it might look more professional and finished, but having the final image isn't the same as making the puzzle yourself.

Throughout the video I changed it a couple times, in the end I went with normal ice since it's not as slippery so it's easier to control

While I appreciate the feedback, like the title says it took 50 hours to make, and compacting that amount of time into twenty minutes while still maintaining a sense of time isn't easy. I don't want to undersell how much effort this really took, and getting a fifteen minute video out of that much work just wasn't enough for me.

I could have, but I'm a coder, not a builder. This was a common request, and I've gotten better at building since I made this video. I've started on multiple other videos in the "recreating games in Minecraft" series, and all of them have had much more convincing details and decor.
