Slightly wrong, the sundial allows you to skip to dawn once a week, going to a new world for every quest is also quicker with a late game build.

Even using the enchanted sun and moon dial still makes the fishing quests over 50 hours, but it shreds off like 20 hours if you use them right.

After about 1500 hours (on multiple versions, I played on console 1.2 first), I finally did 100% back last year

As tedious as it already is, I’ve seen an achievement that takes more than a year of gameplay time!

You know that in journey mode, with two clicks you can change the time of day and if you set it from night to dawn then the game counts it as a new day. Like that i was able to do the quest in like an hour

@@Catmoment67892 it's called the "flymeal" sword, you need a gold or platinum broadsword, and 5 stinkbugs caught in the forest, then you combine them when near some honey, and there you go, an NPC killing sword :))

So now half word is HM crimson V entirely, the other half is Massive corruption in a gert lump of crimson with a sizeable ever growing chunk of hallow. It feels like dynamite and mania may be easier than clentaminator Tbh

Or, more simply, run away from the laser, and when the saucer stops firing it to move over to the other side of you, immediately dash in the other direction to outrun the laser again. Rinse and repeat. It’s easiest with a Tabi, but even a Shield of Cthulhu still works I think.

what I do is stay kinda low and when it fires the laser try to go above it, for the laser machine gun just dodge up and down and for the missiles just run and hope

I think i just made a platform in the sky with a one block hole for a yo yo to go through 😂 might not work anymore

Building sky islands or biome is great with the ice rod block

You can get gold worms from cans of worms, it's only a 1/20 drop You can also shimmer herb bags to get more of them To be fair, if you don't want to generate new worlds to obtain cans, it could be a pain

I’m ashamed to admit that I did do the quest, but a GOOD majority of the quests were done via journey mode.

Btw I am writing this here because this is the only way I can communicate with an important person in the Terri’s community.

they go through ceilings now... the most consistent way I've been able to fight the saucer's final phase is this: using the Witch's Broom mount, fly away during the laser phase, but don't move vertically. When the saucer is about to stop its laser and try to hit you from the other side, begin moving back towards it. This gives just enough time to get the speed and distance you need to avoid it. Rinse and repeat until the saucer dies.

Jungle bait is a great option that is decently easy to farm (especially buggys). The hardest part is that the jungle spawns more large bushes than other biomes, especially with fairy boots, meaning you need a pickaxe/drill instead of just the golden bug net. Beyond that, store quest fish in a chest and keep fishing. You can get multiple a day as long as one is not sitting in your active inventory and you have yet to turn one in for the day. Once the day is about to roll over (before 4:30 am), turn in a single one and hope for as many repeat quests as possible. With dupes, even the "hard fish" only need one good day of fishing to keep a stock for any repeats later. Also, prioritize gaining the quest fish pre-hardmode, when the worst enemy type you have to deal with is weak worms/diggers. New ones unlock in hardmode, and some require going into areas that are dangerous to AFK in. (wyverns in the sky and pigrons in corrupted ice).

@@cullenlatham2366 I want to recommend jungle baits as well, but in my personal playthrough, I encountered more scorpions than buggys/grubbys/frogs - even Fairies that spawns each night on the logs are easier to catch cause you can see them clearly. Jungle critters are more blend-in with the biome itself, might be harder to detect them for new terrarians.

@@DarchrowTheEnigma Meanwhile, i feel like i never see scorpions outside of the small, rare oasis'. XD If spotting them is really the problem, fireflies are also good, and in the early game while any terrarian, even noobs, just end up building a mega apartment complex, they are very easy to farm in their own right. While farming fireflies, there is also the chance to get a magical (lantern) night and get some enchanted nightcrawlers alongside them. In a game about farming and grinding (at least to some extent), a jungle bait farm is likely one of the simplest the game has to offer, and seeing the bait doesnt matter that much if you build the farm with a crevasse to catch the bait. Do a lap or 3 breaking big shrubs, then visit the crevasse(s) and swing the net a few times (preferably with a guide to creature companionship in inventory). Rinse and repeat to have nearly unlimited bait only really beaten by golden insects (which are a massive waste) and mater bait, exclusively obtained through fishing features. Add a few walls behind the farm to stop spawns, box it in, and presto! it is also quite safe outside of hardmode surface clinger enemy types, and i have had countless success with a decently sized one even without fairy boots.
