I know these streets, I know this place but I have never seen the place or heard it from the habitants of Korba like this ever before. 10 years back I would have never imagined to see the city where I have spent more than half of my life in KZfaq, like this, raw, uncut, unadulterated and UNFILTERED. What you captured is the reality, the truth, mundane life, the struggles, and not so 'golden' status of the people living around a place called as Golden Island (thank you for not covering that). Thank you for doing what you do. Thank you for being the shining light in a dark journalism era. They do not make people like you anymore. I m frm C.G let me tell u ....korba is called as energy city (urja nagri)of chhattisgarh..and i am in desbelief after seeing no electricity connection in many villages of district korba. Biggest coal mines are located in korba in C.G... collecting largest revenue in form of district mineral fund...which shd be utilised for providing basic facilities of water, electricity, health care to the people. Hatts off to u samdish for this real unfiltered journlism ...

The people of this region have been fighting for their forest & land but no ine listens to them. Adani & Co. has cleared acres of forests for coal mining. Thousands of trees have been cut but no one leader has the guts to raise voice.

I am from Pune, Maharashtra. I went to chattisgarh in 2013 with some NGO work in dantewada. I have seen tribal people and their life from close and i want to say thank as journalism in India busy in fighting for non-issues and no one listens to common man or to be specific marginalized communities. Big salute to people like you (i can't say Journalist as its bad word now a days) . Everything can't be done by Govt. so as a society who have secured decent life should help people in empowerment . Their own life is beautiful and you covered things in beautiful way. If possible , try to go in Dantewada as well , i want to see that after 11 years from your lenses. Thanks!

FYI- Forr many of us and specially those pre 2000s Chhattisgarhiyas Bhopal was equivalent to Delhi as it was the capital of undivided Madhya Pradesh. we whole heartedly welcome you to the land of tribes, culture and simplicity.

Hi there, this is Nikita a teenager now. I am Chhattisgarhiya living my entire life till now here in this state, my comfort zone, my homeland I absolutely love it. But yes all the problems shown in the video I have known it from when I was a child I have always hoped for betterment thinking this government would do this everytime of the elections ( they did not) Because the main problem of the government of C.G is corruption ( believe me it has been from more than a decade). And there's so much about government hidden agenda. C.G's people are most kind and naive as you can see in the video, what they ask is simple food water and a roof to live, other materialistic thing doesn't matter for them. That's my personal observation and it is true, even my father is like that. And this is naiveness and kindness is what govt. uses as weapon for voting. Sand like promises then they break it after the elections like a mirror. . The main problems did not, have not been resolved really and the government truly turn a blind eye that's what I see. Living in Raipur is sure a luxury for me but whenever I visit my village I see so many problems that's .... unexplainable. My mom is a government teacher, she teaches village kids and yes shortage of teachers have been a problem for more than a decade and it is now too. There are so many problems in the state itself that no government sees, they either go blind or turn deaf ears. I can list them and I feel absolutely awful when my state is not really represented accurately in national affairs, or talking about state problems. No news channels cover chhattisgarh as if it doesn't exist, no one outside of C.G know where chhattisgarh is( like dude it is a literal state haven't you studied geography) I have been outside C.G for travelling and when I tell them where I am from they make faces which is umm...makes me uncomfortable. All of the reasons but still I am proud to be from where I am but it makes me cry that my State is not represented correctly and I can do nothing for it. IT was a wonderful video. Yes the people if C.G is far more better than anyone i have seen or met by far. I love my state and would want to do more for this State's betterment.

Never stop this series. We really need to see our rural India

yesterday I was complaining about bank near my house , and now when I see that people have to travel 50 kms radius for one SBI bank , I feel that whatever I am facing here is nothing at all . I have been in Raipur for 6 months. Met a lot of people. the innocence, politeness, kindness the people of CG have is unmatchable. That "Hau" instead of "haan" shows it very beautifully. One of my friend is from Jagdalpur, She uses "Hau" to end a conversation. Seriously I am kind of emotional after seeing the innocence of the people in this video, No complains, No grudges with Government, only water, electricity is wht they want. No high hopes. The boy who said that his father got me goosebumps out of emotions. The lady who told that her son died leaving his childrens behind and now she is taking care of her husband and grandchildrens. Loved your video Samdesh. Just a suggestion, be a bit more polite with old people and locals. And one request, please visit Rajgarh District of Madhya pradesh.

It's the true picture of Rural Chhattisgarh Working here since past 1 year seen these simple people happily enjoying their simple life. The best thing about the people here is they are the most welcoming & grounded people. I have travelled across most of the states of India but never seen such a homely gesture towards the strangers which u will see here.

Sad to see how happy and satisfied they are with their uneasy situation. It's like they have accepted life as it is. Don't know if they'll even ever know what urban living looks like, feels like.

I am from one of these villages, I am very much familiar with this place all the names of the villages ring a bell in my head, it was a paradise for us I spent my entire childhood here and I miss the people the place the raw language , It is nostalgic to me I remember these roads, the beauty of the place is impeccable, the people are the sweetest and welcoming, We used to live in the place but never did I feel that we are living an unfulfilled and degraded life, I used to to fill water from 5km away on my cycle, drinking water was my responsibility had to go to hospital which was 16 km away but never felt we are struggling in here, people are accustomed to the natural ways of life here and not running in a ratrace like modern urban people

This episode hit me differently, Samdish. I'm also from Chhattisgarh. My parents grew up as farmers in one of these small villages. They always pushed me to excel in my studies, saying "Padhai se hi zindagi badalti hai beta". It was one of those dreams come true moments for them when I moved to the US for my master's. I lost both my parents recently but their love and memories still live with me. My dad's name was also Jageshwar, watching that small kid speaking made me emotional. Thanks again for showing this.

Aakhir kis tarah se hamare desh ke halat hai sarkare chahe central ho ya state basic amenities dene mein har jagah fail hai . Aise logo k dard dekh kar bahut dukh hota hai . As a youth hum logo ko hi kuch na kuch karna padega ki sarkare aisi jagaho par dhayan de nahi to ye log aisi hi halato mein jeene ko majbur rahenge aur inke bacho ka bhavishay jo desh ka bhavishya hai wo andhkhar me inhi ki tarah chala jayega .
