Btw i turned my dad into a BTS fan when i played ,,spring day" without telling him it´s BTS and he LOVED it lmao. He was so racist before but know he turned into such a different human being it´s crazy what BTS can do.

This conversation would've never happened if they were an English speaking band. But it's just so baffeling for westerners to imagine the fact that there are people loving a band made out of seven asian guys singing in Korean . It's crazy to me as an Asian living in a world where it's norm to listen to English speaking artists even if we don't speak English but it's such a big deal to you guys when it's vise versa.

I think for me personally, the reason why I love bts is these boys do not ask us for anything. Their music is ofcourse a souce of comfort for us however it is also the kind of people they are at heart. How they care for each other. They have achieved so much after starting from scratch, received so much hate and racism for no reason at all but they still emerge as men with good hearts. They have high emotional quotient and they break down unknown emotions and we're comforted knowing someone out there understands us. They're funny, respectful, talented gentleman who accept that they aren't perfect but continue to love themselves and teach us to do that too. They understand that all of us are different from each other and might not face the same things as they do. I never learned my self worth before them. 'loving myself' was something I never thought I could achieve. They want us to give ourselves the love that we have given them. I've never heard of any artist who has so much dedication and bond with their fans. They're protective of us as we are of them and even though there are toxic fans out there as well, they never generalize it for us. If you ever get the opportunity to look at their interactions with ARMY during concerts or in general please do. There is no shame in showing off what you love. Only those who can never love as passionately as us would spread hate because they're simply envious. We are realistic because we know one day they will continue on with their lives and ARMY will be with them to share those happy memories as well. We're part of a beautiful history in making. Thank you for coming to my Tedtalk 💜

When armys say that's bts has helped them through many difficulties, people would probably say that they are being dramatic but seriously unless u have been there u will never know how much these 7 boys help us, even when I myself, voice it out it seems too dramatic to me sometimes, but u can never deny the truth. It's that's everyone will tell u to "do good" "be better" "love yourself". But it does not hit us how it should and idk what kinda technique these boys use but the way they show it, makes me wanna be a better person, makes me wanna love myself accept myself as who I am. And that is why I am so so very thankful towards them.

Many make it seem like loving yourself is a process that happens overnight, but bts didnt, they dedicated 6+ years of their career. They showed us that loving yourself is not easy but at the end its worth it. It almost feels like loving ourselves was a journey we had with them. Maybe thats why their message works so well?

There are actual things and bands that actually can, and do encourage happiness and cooperation, rather that having their twitter fanbase attack people and sit ontop of the backs of their fans laughing. You've got tunnel vision.

@@yulana990 Define "most". Because "most" should technically mean more than 50% and there's 25 *million* Armys. So unless and until you have seen _at least_ 12.5 million Armys attack someone for criticism, don't use the word "most". Even if you have seen 100k Armys attacking, that doesn't even make a 1% of this fandom.

@@yulana990 I don't agree. Watch the review of Map of the Soul: Persona by "theneedledrop" here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/jNebpK5_z7evm3U.html and look at the comment section to see how respectful the fans were. Another example is D'angelo's video on Map of the Soul: 7 here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qrp5ptCdzqmcdnk.html where he clearly says he doesn't like the group, and then look at the comment section where armys were also very respectful. Yes, armys can drag you to the ground sometimes, but that mostly (from what I have seen) is when it is from pure unnecessary hate, while to many of us it is a sign of relief when we see a critic, actually criticizing the boys not purely hating them, at least that is how I feel I'm not gonna speak for millions of people. But yes, I will admit there are TOXIC armys out there, and believe me the non-toxic ones are tired of them as much as everyone else is lmao.

@@miraculousaly-bug2411 well let me first just apologize on behalf of those "ARMY". You are not worthless stupid, or any of the horrible things these assholes told you 💜💜💜. Believe me I know that they exist, I'm not denying that. But all I want from people outside the fandom is to give ARMY a chance if they meet them, as the bad apples in the group makes a lot of people immediately turned away from us the second we claim we are ARMY, making me personally uncomfortable claiming that I am a fan of the boys in the first place. Also I see alot of people saying stuff like "I stopped liking BTS because of their fandom" which I also don't like since it isn't bighit or the boys' fault nor responsibility that there are these awful people claiming they are army on the internet.

Same with any group. Look at the supernatural, Rick and morty, or Harry potter fandoms. Or groups that aren't based off of movies or bands, like the trans community. Hunter Ellis I mean, Got7 fandom is pretty chill. People aren’t obsessive or aggressive there. I think the problem is that BTS went to America. Offense not intended, but American teenage girls on Twitter can be very obsessive and mean. It sucks that they speak for the whole fandom because there’s a lot of chill bts fans out there. Also, most people who hate on bts only hate on them because they’re so popular.

Never listened to BTS or any other k-pop group, yet constantly insults the genre as a whole. His main argument is ‘i don’t listen to them because their fan base is toxic’ or ‘why do you listen to them if you can’t understand what they’re saying (as if subtitles aren’t a thing) or ‘they act gay to get teen girls to watch them and they’re disrespectful to the lgbtq community’ and ‘you know they don’t like black people right?’ Just so many Kpop misconceptions that so many antis use for no reason.

BTS have been one of the largest motivations to push myself further. Seeing their practice videos, harsh schedules and such motivates me to take just a few steps more. They were also the ones that introduced me to a wider enjoyment of music in general, starting off I despised music in general because of how much they all sounded the same, due to people copying each other in the pop industry all the time.

Literally BTS and Kpop brought my life so much happiness. Not in a toxic way, but just like a fever dream that helped me go through the harsh reality. It's not just screaming in awe or fangirling on Twitter, it's a whole part of ones life that makes the rest easier and brighter.💜

I grew up with BTS' music, back in 2014 when I was just 11 years old. It was their music and lyrics composition as well as the message they bring. They really brought their passion for music into a comforting and soothing music for a stressful and depressing life Im in.

Dont worry, there are a lot of male armys, but sadly, there's not a lot of them who are very vocal about their love for bts because of...you know, society's gender norms. But i hope people learn to accept that being a male fan of a boy band/group who has a predominantly female fanbase is ok and accepted.

It's incredibly interesting how a male-dominated interest such as sports is considered a real and mature thing to like, while female-dominated interests such as a band which spreads a positive message is often considered childish, fake, and an embarrassing thing to like. There are plenty of sports fans who behave just as, if not more, wildly than the most dedicated ARMY. It's even widely acceptable to wear shirts, hats, socks, backpacks, even freaking underwear branded with your favorite team or player's number. When will we begin to respect the interests and opinions of women as just as valid as that of men? Stop ridiculing women, especially teen girls for their genuine interests in something overwhelmingly positive smh

I can't fault any of these people. I'm not into K-Pop, i like Metal and the band that's had the most impact on me is Slipknot, the two bands couldn't be more opposite but they provide a feeling of belonging and a philosophy of celebrating the individual no matter what others think and that's damn cool. Slipknot Maggots and BTS Army are two sides of the same coin in weird way.

Ben Hammond I can't say for the other Korean groups, but BTS loves philosophy and stories, and will often incorporate that into their music & performances. For example, their recent album, Map of the Soul: Persona, is inspired by Carl Jung's psychoanalytic theories and Dr. Murray Stein's book, Jung's Map of the Soul. Their upcoming albums will also be an extension on the other Jungian archetypes, Shadow and Ego. I noticed this is also a common thing w rock and metal bands.

Like Bong Joon Ho, the director of Parasite said at the Golden Globes, once we over come the 1 inch barrier of subtitles, we will be exposed to this whole new world of art. BTS fans took that one little extra step to turn on closed captions in English to their music videos. We read their lyrics and felt heard, we related to it. I wish people would stop treating us like we are rabid people without a mind of our own. We are a fiercely protective group, yes. But we are far from mindless fans. BTS ARMYs have effected actual change in this world. Our charity projects, inspired by the members, run throughout the year in various countries across various organisations. We are inspired to be better people by BTS. And we are going to do just that.
