after the sony rug pull, i'm going to be spending 75 hours a week subtly killing my teammates with the airburst rocket launcher for the next 4 weeks on major order missions before the lockout and functional reporting/ban system gets implemented.

I'm pretty sure the airburst rocket launcher is not meant specifically for shriekers.... that was just the example enemy showing it is good for groups of enemies

Yeah for sure but given its flak nature and shriekers being the main example of what it can do I feel like they're its main target. But use it on whatever

@@YoloCathonestly, it’s pretty terrible against flying enemies, it works best against groups of small enemies, same as the cluster bombs. I really wish they didn’t use shriekers as an example cuz now everyone thinks its purpose is AA when it’s actually just a handheld cluster launcher 😔

In one of my runs in order to increase my accidental team killing potential to the max against the bugs. I took Mortar, Eagle cluster bomb, 380, with airburst rocket launcher and Arc-Blitzer. Was one of the greatest run ever.

Just as a side note, the ABRL can kill tanks, cannons, hulks, chargers and titans but there are caviats to being able to. For cannons, tanks and hulks, the clusters need to detonate close enough to the vents and the initial rocket detonation needs to be close to weak spots. For chargers, if you soften them up, you can hit a well placed shot under their belly and the rocket can kill them. For titans, you need to crack the shell on their back, but, if you slam a rocket into the exposed part it can kill it. Factory striders can be killed by the ABRL by getting a group of clusters to explode under its belly but youre better off just hitting it with eagles and orbitals

A rocket between the hulks legs inconsistently one shots it, stun grenades help. One shots towers from 200m+ (sometimes) aim for the crack between the tower and its stand, always one shots if done under the vent. Easy tank killer even from the front, just hit behind it. I will say they absolutley changed the behavior on chargers because it one shot them and sent them flying comically in leak videos, it seems like they just made it not work on them because sometimes i still one shot them if i hit it underneath but sometimes they eat every bomb 3 times, which just doesnt make any sense Thank you for coming to my ted talk, i would make yotube videos too but my pc is two buttcheeks and the extras

@@YoloCat the name "airburst" has nothing to do with it dealing with winged enemies. The name "airburst" just applies that the bomblets can explode mid air.

Airburst weapons are meant to be able to deal with enemies behind cover, but the enemies don’t use cover lmao

I LOVE airburst launcher. It can destroy Shrieker swarm and vaporizes bug patrol. It also can clear small bugs on objectives and POI. Sometimes I clear bug eggs in one shot, as long you know where to position yourself and shoot from afar

The Airburst isn't just "Shoot at shriekers in the air" It means that it explodes in the air, it's not specifically meant for airborne units.

Can confirm, I destroyed an unsuspecting tank from a mile away, it had it's vent exposed so I shot at it with the airburst and boom.

Love your stuff mate, nothing like some Aussies goofing about! I wanted to try and give some friendly and hopefully useful advice with the content: all the sound effects you use in your video are great, but you might benefit from having a greater variety of them. For instance, the Lego Yoda death yell is funny, but maybe some new sounds would help spice things up when your mates’ kick the bucket. Anyways I am enjoying your videos and I hope to see your channel grow!

The air burst rocket bursts in the air, for maximum area of effect, just like irl bombs that are also not anti air.(Except that one time an F-15 got an air to air kill with a bomb )

Honestly changing this to a powerful shrapnel bomb would make it more effective and less likely to team kill. Have it explode on impact and send shrapnel all around.

Spear was once my best friend for taking out bot bases but now the airburst has taken that spot for solo runs, ironically the spear is really good at dealing the gunships, and hulks if your far enough, tanks a bit hit or miss and the factory strider deals good damage if it's facing you

It’s basically a quick target antipersonnel mine field with building destruction capabilities. Preferable to the mines since it doesn’t leave any surprises behind to be stepped on. It’s situational but I have fun with it. Just be at the lead of your team to clear out groups before friends can get in the way lol

the airburst does better against hordes of hunters than it does against shriekers after 40 hours of using it, friendly fire chance is high it does moderate damage to medium armored targets, the proximity of the airburst is very hard to gauge accurately at time.

I love it... great for mobs. But ranging is weird for me it doesn't burst overhead when I lob. Or blows early when I shoot direct. Still the only gun I can regularly get dozens of kills in a single shot. I like to rock the scorcher and take orbital airburst. Railcannon and an eagle airstrike on the side. Sometimes expendable antitank

In my experience the airburst won't explode until you take your finger off the trigger. That's how I've been using it and I've had pretty good results.

Its called airburst because it bursts in the air and explodes with a proximity fuse not because its only meant to work against air targets.

I was playing with friends showing how good the weapon is for clearing chaff. And had to go pick up my daughter from dance. Missed most of the mission came back 20min later end game screen had the most kills by a wide margin.

It's really great but it should do damage to heavies, at least if their armor is peeled. The way they limit this is stupid. It should also kill gunships. Just saying, this is important. They have no business limiting stratagem weapons to not be able to do these trivial things. Also the gun is in no way intended VS Air. Airburst just means it detonates in the air. It is INTENDED to take out clusters of enemies packed together.

If there are 9 difficulties from 1 to 9, 7 is objectively a higher difficulty in the options people can pick. It's also the entry to getting super samples so it's a level a lot for casual players would be aiming for

@@golfwang3769 all i'm going to say about it is, if i did have a problem with needing a psn account to play, i'd have read the steam page closely enough to notice it in the first place. given that seemingly every corporation is collecting data on us these days(hi google) getting mad over 1 doing so is like getting mad about a pinhole leak in a ship made of wood eaten up by terrmites.

PlayStation accounts are not available to be made in every county. So once they are mandatory it will lock players in those countries out, even if they own the game. The issue isn't really about data collection

Alright, explain everything it does then if your gonna call someone out and not elaborate. Ill call you out on your callout, except i dont know everything it can do. I know its use in bf4 to kill roof campers and anyone behind cover. In this game looks like large groups. So explain it, enlighten us.
