i remember driving by after work with my kids seeing you and your sister practicing at the park in Compton. We also lived in Compton too. Never knew you too would end up so great. I am proud of both of you.

Venus is very inspirational. She has a very calm demeanour and warmth to encourage a healthy competitive drive in the youngsters. Hearing the reflection on the time spent on the court, I had to replay and count the number of times the word Hours was mentioned. 😊 💖 ✌

Wow... What memories. I was a neighbor of the Williams family. It's been amazing to see Richards prophecies come true. The only time you would see them was when they were either going to practice or coming from practice.

Venus just repeating “so many hours” makes so much sense. She’s the best player the world’s ever seen and was the blueprint for Serena. It’s hard to fathom the amount of practice and training she endured since the age of 4…so many hours.

Actually, made me tear up especially because I was living in LA when the Williams sisters were becoming a household name in the early 90s. In fact my two nieces who were around the same ages as the sisters often got comments that they reminded people of the sisters. It's so amazing to see life unfurled and have a moment to look back. Im so proud of you girls. Blessings and more blessings abound to you and your family. For sure those long hours were blessings all wrapped up.

It’s always so emotional to revisit the places that your grew up in. They’re filled with so many memories and judging from Venus, visiting her home town really made her take a step back and appreciate the journey that she’s lead. She’s overcame so many obstacles, but maintains a smile each and every day. A true pillar of success and humility. We need more heroes like her for our kids to look up to. She didn’t let anyone tell her she wasn’t good enough or that she didn’t belong. That’s the hardest thing for kids growing up in less than idea circumstances to realize that they are special and talented. I started playing tennis because of Venus, and it’s changed my life. Being on court takes away all of the daily stress and really helps you be your true self again. So much love and respect for this woman. ❤️
