Having visited many temples, I’m always attracted by the uniqueness of each temple. This temple is a great mixture of good old days such as the retro cooking stove and beautiful details of architecture and moderns such as the comfortable bed room and the co-working space. Enjoyed watching Norm getting lost in the huge maze temple as well! Thank you for sharing the very rare experience😆

My temple stay was honestly one of my most memorable moments while I was in Japan. It was absolutely beautiful, being able to pray with the monks and witness their fire ceremony is something I will remember forever. The temple I stayed at was in Koyasan, their 1000 year old temple. We got to go through their graveyard at night and it was absolutely breathtaking! I can't wait to come back! Much love from Arizona 💜💜

0:56 anything east of Vancouver, they use something much worse than just Salt. They use calcium chloride, rock salt, and magnesium chloride. The South Coast, they use Salt water from the ocean, with crushed rock salt to bring up the salinity levels

Sorry for my ignorance as an Australian, but would the salt act basically like salt water on your shoes? Salt water on shoes occasionally won't do much, but every day, the salt crystals themselves as well as other chemicals in the water dissolved with the salt break down fibres in the shoes. Does the salt even wear away at the soles of proper, thick walking/hiking boots?
@KHainstock88
@KHainstock88 3 ай бұрын
@@rogerramjetox142pa you've pretty much got it! The soles don't wear down as much, but any leather starts to crack and split, and any fabric will rot through. You can counteract the damage by diluting vinegar and wiping your shoes down with it every day, but it still shortens the lifespan. Salt doesn't work if temperatures drop below (I believe) -30C so colder provinces and cities use sand which is a little better. Toronto is just too afraid of lawsuits, hence the sidewalks being coated in salt for four months

What a beautiful space to stay in! I'm so jealous of that bath. I miss the bath we had in Japan. The mountains and snow are stunning. I can imagine how freezing the morning air was after our stay at Hakuba, waking up to -6⁰C! I'd love to stay there, but it wouldn't be ideal for my family. My child is so loud and she'd be deliberately skidding down the halls. We'd get kicked out 😅😂 But I'd love be to visit the area. I loved the video of the statues that you did previously.
