I mixed up a couple of drinks for y'all 😜 DO NOT DRINK We purposefully spilled resin to create fake but realistic looking drinks! I had to use polymer clay to make a strawberry cause I'm stubborn 😊 & had to have a strawberry drink lol We MAAAAY have failed on the first try so I had to completely destroy them to try & make new ones 😬 We ripped the little pieces off & it was horrible but kind of satisfying haha We used silicone caulk to make cute little spill shapes & poured resin in! THEY CAME OUT SO CUTE What do you think?!

Can’t you try letting the resin thicken up for a while first and then the pool won’t be completely out of control? I feel like that will create a nice looking puddle and it won’t over spread🥰

I love these! But I probably would put it on a table instead of the wall. Like you said, they probably aren't fooling anyone, but they get the idea across and I think a little LED light in the glass would look super cool on like a side table at night

I'm wondering if mold release would work with the acrylic? If it was either the silicon or the acrylic causing the resin not to set up properly, then a mold release might help as an additional barrier, and the resin would release easier at the end. I really like this project. It makes me want to see one of those lemonades where it's lemonade with strawberry chunks at the bottom, so it's a blend from red into yellow.

I feel like UV resin would work better with projects like this. As soon as you get the shape you want, you can flash cure so it doesn't shift drastically while you're finishing the project up and you can get that "realistic spill line" instead of the harsh cliff line you get with the silicone foam wall.

Would wiping the surface with 91% alcohol and a lint free wipe get the tacky layer off? (It works with gel nails..maybe its worth a try, at least.) Also, couldn't you just cut and file down the first set of resin to the shape you wanted? Ive never done it before so I don't know it's consistency. Regardless, it came out awesome anyway like all your projects. 😍🤩

You can use hot glue instead of caulk, it won't inhibit the cure as much. Also not sure why you didn't UV resin or quick epoxy the hanging bits on the back cause then you wouldn't have had a bolt in the drink but they look good on the wall You can try a paint scraper to get the thin stuff off the acrylic or I use a sharp craft knive, it's so satisfying

I think it would look more realistic if you put the drink stuff in the plastic cups and then tipped them over so stuff would spill out more naturally. And the resin in the cup would be placed more naturally because it had in fact spilled out of the cup.

maybe level ur surface and let the resin thicken. when ever i create things like that, i always make sure i let my resin sit for around 15 minutes (depending on cure time) also its smart how you didnt try to not make bubbles because that makes it look slightly carbonated. i would also add little dots and less regular shapes to simulate a liquid a big more. please remember to mold release AND level your surface. maybe the flowing (which seemed to be pulling to one side) could be fixed and therefore let less resin flow around and not need the silicone. the silicone though, was such an innovative decision! for a first time watching you, im sure to be watching some more.

You don't know if it would trick anyone? Well, for starters the lemonade is too yellow and needs a dash of cloudiness. Strawberry limeade is another one of those drinks that have cloudiness, but your color for that is pretty close. I suggest looking up references to the drinks you're recreating if you're going for realism. Overall though I absolutely adore the idea. Those are so dang cute!
