I actually checked out my local petstore I knew had a baby axolotl and they had them set up beautifully no gravel, properly fed, and cleaning and temp charts. 2 weeks later lol guy was adopted and is doing awesome in his new home!

I rescued 2 axolotls of craigslist he had over 300 they now live in a 40 gallon tank both were extremely skinny and had missing limbs there now extremely happy and eating well
