In this video we stay at the Residency Luxury Seafront Hotel in Blackpool, UK. I paid just £28.44 for 1 night at this 5-star hotel. Do you think this was a fair price?
Spoilers: Join me as I uncover the shocking reality behind the UK's cheapest 5-star hotel. At first glance, the room seemed charming with its elegant decor, but things quickly took a turn for the worse. I discovered urine stains on the mattress, dirt and dust in every corner, and several faulty fixtures. Despite its luxurious appearance, the hotel failed to deliver on basic hygiene and maintenance. I'd stay there and give it a try as its within my radius, as I normally stay anywhere south of Manchester Square and I used to live round the corner from there and know that neighbourhood well from staying round there as well. It looks quite a nice modern place that I don't think has been open long and may be having the odd teething problem or something, but much cleaner and better looking than most the others in the videos lol. I was planning on coming up after the Euros, so thanks for putting this on might give it a try. Also, when I say I always stay south of Manchester Square, there are some nice hotels north of Gynn Square up into Bispham/Norbreck areas and it can be just as nice up there.

It's £10 less than Sky City and looks like they tried a little. I have no idea where the 5 stars come from but if it is from online reviews its a testament to the kind of places this hotel is competing against. Also the spill on the mattress side looks like a spilled cup of tea.

That is absolutely disgusting and this ment to be a 5 star I would of gone to the reception and complained.

Absolutely no way is that a 5 star hotel, no attention to detail what so ever. The bathroom floor definitely wasn't cleaned, and i hate to say it, but i don't think the sheets were changed either . Disgusting, 3 stars at the most, and what's with those coat hangers, it costs pennines to get matching ones. It's dirty throughout .The cleaner needs sacking or given more time to clean thoroughly 😏

Thats not 5* accredited, no chance , cleanliness is shocking , ive stayed in cleaner 2* hotels in Blackpool !!

Where do the five stars come from ? ...... Generally hotels in the UK are awful and way overpriced. The top price ones are good of course as are the branded , " Days Inn / Ibis " type , good value for money , but apart from that they are pretty dire. Especially Pub Accommodation , which has gone really downhill since Covid

According to booking .com it’s a 5 star according to a third party authorised organisation. But agreed definitely get more for your money in other countries !
