Bumped into you a few times at the retreat and recognised you but thought I'd leave you be - didn't realise you were really going through it! Feeling pretty glad that we opted for the non-enema package if your experience was anything to go by...

I did a detox similar to this when I was younger due to a failing kidney. All I had for the first week was chicken broth, the second week I was aloud one raw egg. And slowly I could eat coconut oil, the. Honey, then eventually meats. And that diet persisted for a whole year. By the end my skin was better then I’ve ever seen it, I had more energy then I never knew I could have, and I was always happy. Good move on you, it’s a life changing experience.

Is it possible that it was traumatic for you as you apparently were unaware of what you were signing up for? This looks like a paradise where I’d be able to completely reset, if I knew it was for a detox.

Fasting is very good for you! Many don’t believe only because they are not educated enough to know how the body learns to replenish and use it’s own energy stores without the added calories food provides! This wellness resort is spot on with what they are doing and their philosophy

I feel you with the neighbors alarm going off for hours. my dad CANNOT wake up to his alarms and if my step-mom is gone before he wakes up ill just hear them going off for like 2 hours.

I work as a chef for a wellness retreat less fancy than this one and it mostly just consists of healthy food/juice fast, meditation and yoga without all those treatments. We serve the meals buffet style so the guests don't go starving. You would not want to sign up for the silent meditation retreat lol. Most people I see attending seem relaxed and happy to be there so maybe you suffered because you didn't know what you signed up for and it was a drastic lifestyle change for you

Try the detox clinic in Tibet. Where you spend the first week puking and crapping yourself because they give you stuff to detox you from even opiates and hard core drugs. So this looks like a vacation compared to that experience

I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.

Great editing and some very beautiful shots. I’m glad you saw some benefits when you returned. I don’t want to minimize your experience, I just wonder if you could have taken a more positive approach to your video. I am a little bugged out by the “first-world” problems you faced. Many cannot even imagine to be able to do something so special. I felt icky when you complained about it most of the time. It looked like you were in a very beautiful and magical place, but it didn’t seem you expressed it enough. Plus, for such an expensive week, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t have done more research to know exactly what you were getting yourself into.

I can identify with the whole hypothyroidism thing. I've had this condition for a long time. I'm on medication for it, and it does help. You are young, and it sounds like you're on the right track to taking better care of yourself. In my opinion, the best detox is simply drinking water throughout the day. So many people are dehydrated without knowing it. It took me until I entered my 50's to realize all of this.

I do stuff like this all the time, so none of that is an issue for me, but I can't imagine doing it in a vacation like setting. I want to totally enjoy myself on vacation, especially with food and being comfortable/relaxed. Hope you at least got some great health benefits.

I detox/ withdrawl the hard way, shaking, sweating, nausea, stomach/ bowel pain, anxiety, night terrors, and delusions. Usually after the 4-5th day it goes away and I get better each day after. Sometimes I need benzodiazpines to get through, 95% of the time i just suffer through it. Its not worth going down this path as each withdrawl gets worse the next time.

It’s crazy tho bc you can tell after a couple days your complexion became so vibrant!
