What are the best hotels in Barcelona, Spain? There are so many options to choose from, so before my trip, I asked myself: What is the best part of Barcelona to stay in? What is the best and safest area to stay in Barcelona? Specifically, I wanted to know which neighborhood to stay in was best for first time visitors and what are the best hotels in Barcelona, Spain?
In this video, I stayed and three hotels in Barcelona, Spain. I give you full room tours so you can see some of Barcelona’s finest hotels in the Eixample district.

Great video! Yours was the first I've seen Seventy Barcelona shown, and I was blown away with the design and luxury of the hotel and rooms. My wife and I are planning a trip to Barcelona next year, and that hotel and a few others are at the top of the list. Thanks for sharing your trip experience!

Thanks so sharing😊 I learned so much from your videos about Barcelona. Our cruise is in July however, we already chose an hotel to stay at before and after our cruise. I found out a lot about the restaurants that you shared. And I think we would enjoy the paella cooking class. Looks like fun! Blessings 😊

I appreciate the feedback 😊 I hear what you’re saying - I thought about adding prices but since they fluctuate and increase over time (and I can’t edit a video once it’s posted), I decided to leave them out. However, moving forward, maybe I can add something like a price range or even symbols like $$$ or $$? What do you think?

Wow, great review! Thank you. The wife and I have the InterContinental booked both before and after our cruise in June, but I may switch our 3-night post-cruise stay to the Monument Hotel! That one looks fabulous and the perfect way to spend a few nights after a week in the MSC Yacht Club.

Thanks Fred! The Intercontinental is a very nice hotel and I’m sure they will not disappoint. It feels so good to relax at a nice property post cruise. It’s almost like a vacation from the cruise vacation, lol 😆 My husband STILL talks about our stay at the Monument Hotel! It is worthy of the 5-stars and if you can get a reservation (we didn’t have time) at one of their Michelin-starred restaurants, go for it!!

Thanks for watching 😊❤️ it’s a realllyyy tough decision 😅 If I had to rank…I’d say Seventy, Monument, OD. My Hun would say Monument, Seventy, OD. I’d honestly be very satisfied staying at any of them again - it all depends on the vibe im trying to achieve. If I want a bright, Mediterranean vibe Seventy is it! If I want luxury at its finest, Monument is it. If I want cool vibes, OD. The water pressure is great at all of them, no complaints! What would be your ranking??

Hi Antoinette, Hope you had a great Christmas. I just wanted to give you my review on the Monument Hotel. OMG it was one of the BEST hotels ever, the service was immaculate, the area was great, and found a couple of good restaurants for carry-out. My husband was having back pain so, we did not get to see a lot. The roof top of the hotel for dinner was nice. The gelato in Spain, France, and Italy was outstanding, Wish I could find it in the states..lol. Back to the room, we had the two room suite and that bathroom was amazing, the hallway had so much drama lol, my husband was impressed with the glass elevator. I liked that you had to sit down to check in, that was a nice touch. I would definitely stay there again, when I go back.Thas so much for the suggestion.

Hey Kim! I had a great Christmas and hope you did as well. I am THRILLED you enjoyed Monument as much as we did 😁I agree - the hallways are soooo dramatic (and I love it!) They staff really make you feel like you are a celebrity - from opening doors to the individual attention at checkin (all seated), and heck, even the little things slate amazing (stationary, bedding, lighting, etc). It is def worthy of five stars for sure ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hi Antoinette, when you guys were in Barcelona did you use any laundry mat services or have a need to wash clothes - outside of the service you guys took advantage of on the ship before you disembarked? We're going to be in town for a few days after our cruise, so I'm trying to think ahead a little. Thank you as always for your insights.

Hey Fred! We didn’t do any laundry the 3 days we were in the city because we didn’t have a need to. We packed a large suitcase for the cruise and had plenty of space. There are a few laundromats in the city - if you have time this could be a good option or you can hand wash a few select items or take advantage of the hotel’s laundry service. It all depends on the time you have 👍🏽

It's tough Behzadnasr...it all depends on the vibe! If I want a really cool design - Seventy (it was the first hotel I fell in love with while researching online!). If I want to be pampered in luxury - Monument!

Hey Vanessa! Oooo, that’s a really tough call! 😬 Both were excellent places. OD is closer to restaurants and has a wine/cheese happy hour. We loved that it was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shops. The staff were friendly, my sister really enjoyed the pool, and I like their sustainability commitment…but if I really had to be picky…I’d go with Seventy. There may not be a happy hour, but my goodness - the design is stunning and I really felt like I could stay there for the long term. The staff are really friendly and it was next to a fabulous tapas bar and a few other shops. The room felt luxurious and was cleaned daily. Would I return to both? Yes, but Seventy would be the first property I’d check ✅

Hey Kim, thanks for watching 😊❤️ It’s hard to say which one I like better because they were both amazing. I think Seventy was more of my vibe (colorful, Mediterranean, professional yet approachable staff) but my Husband would say Monument (5-star service, excellent amenities and location, spacious room) was his favorite. Which one are you leaning towards?

Hey Bexaxi! Upgrades are at the discretion of the hotel and depend on space, but to let you in on a small travel hack...certain premium travel credit cards provide special portals to book luxury accommodations. These programs typically offer special perks, like free breakfast, a special welcome amenity, discounts/credit for on food/beverage, upgraded rooms, etc. I used the this portal to book the Monument hotel and was thankfully upgraded 😊🙏🏽

Oooo, great question! They all arr quality properties, but I’d say Seventy nailed the balance 🎯 Monument is top-tier quality, but you will pay for the luxurious accommodations.

You need to go back to Barcelona for long enough to learn basic pronunciations. The way that you are saying "Eixample" is especially incorrect.

I can see why the Gothic Quarter is an attractive area to stay in - it’s got an old, historic, vibe with great shopping and food. Access to the metro is easy. There are narrow alleys and cobblestone streets that are cool, too. One downside is that I would be extra alert because lighting may not be the best b/c of the narrow alleys and the area can be crowded with tourists (ie- target for pickpockets). Other than that, it’s really up to whatever personal preferences you have 🙂👍🏽
