Hotels like this should NOT be allowed to operate and open for business in my opinion as it’s DISGUSTING 🤢🤮.

I know Blackpool like the back of my hand. That block of boarding houses where you stayed where beautifully kept in the 60s each of those places had beautiful hanging baskets of flowers outside of them each trying to compete against each other. Facing them was a large coach terminal and it was very busy. It kind of makes me feel ashamed that you had to experience such pathetic conditions. I was brought up in the hotel business industry and my mother was obsessive about cleanliness and rightly so. Personally I like what you're doing and I sincerely hope you're channel has great success. 👍

That place was minging! You're more brave than I Dan, think i'd have rather gone and paid £20 on a cheap tent and slept on the beach. 🤣

The owners are probably going to charge double for the next person after you cleaned for them .lol 😂

The place needs reporting to Blackpool Council and Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, it’s not fit for habitation and I’m sure it doesn’t meet fire regulations

I kind of get the idea that those type of places are used by Ladies of the Night and that will explain the nighttime noises 😮🤣

Just discovered your channel (actually, the missus was watching one of your videos). What a minging place that was. Bet the next guest would be really impressed at how clean it was after you gave it a good going over 👍🏼😉 Surprised there was no hot water as that shower looked almost identical to the electric one we used to have, which heats the cold water up itself. I have stayed in some disgusting and depressing hotel rooms ( like discolored pillow cases ) all over the US…..I never expected to see a similar room In Blackpool….seems like a nice coastal town with a nice beach as I looked at it more on google earth? Blackpool seems very touristy. The weed smell is probably from one of the neighbours. My neighbour wakes and bakes and I can smell it from my bedroom.

Whenever we go to the UK we always try to save money by staying in the cheapest B&Bs. After all, it's just somewhere to sleep. You're out all day. This brings back so many memories. We always treated it as a laugh and a source of amusing stories to tell when we got back home to Australia. This is a great idea for videos. I've subscribed and can't wait for the next one.

Great first video, I live in Blackpool and slum hoteliers (Hotelier used very loosely) like these should be shut down. There is no place in our town for slums like this Blackpool is putting millions into the regeneration of the town to make it a better place to visit and live. They had their time in the 1960s and were lovely places back then, years of neglect and lack of care is what it boils down to. No one should have to spend a night is such a hovel they should not exist in 2023.

That room looks even worse than the worst rated hotel in Bournemouth that I stayed in (vid on my channel!), don’t think I could do a shared bathroom at my age!! You have a new subscriber too 👍🏻

I’d rather be in mid up to my knees in the woods than stay there. Having said that I have liked and subbed and found it addictive viewing. Thank goodness you had your sleeping bag. Hi Dan I'm subscribed to your English Woodsman channel (and now this one) and I've watched quite a few of your videos on that channel, but I don't remember seeing you stop anywhere 'outdoors' that was as filthy as that hotel 😂😂, At least when you're camping it's your own living space and you keep it as clean as you possibly can. Just wondering though if you've thought this channel through, I mean how long will it be before some hotelier or guest at a hotel catches on to this channel and either won't let you stay at their hotel or starts giving you grief for showing them up, you need to be carful mate there's some weirdos out there that wouldn't think twice about doing harm to you or your equipment. They dont have many paying guests its used as an emergency place for homeless people more than paying guests on holidays. It just be called a hostel and they not be allowed to advertise on websites to tourists, we have a few of them in Blackpool and they bring shame on the town.

Have come over from your other channel and subscribed. Urrgh that was rancid! Put me off my lunch 🤢urban stealth camp would be cleaner, lol! That bed was foul and there was nowhere else to sit or put your bag on. I’d be spraying all my kit with permethrin in case bedbugs tried to hitch a ride! Get a box of disposable examination gloves for when you start touching everything, eeeewww!

😂😂😂😂 oh Dan what a mess. My wife and I were in the Florida keys and we stopped at what we thought was a decent motel. Well we were woke up in the middle of the night by some strange lights and it turned out to be a film crew making a point movie in the courtyard 😂😂😂😂😂. It's probly a good thing you cleaned first before using that UV light. Dwayne

You need to carefull of taking bed bugs home Dan they are a bugger to get rid of when you get them, they get in your clothes and bags, you should spray all your items before going home. I could not have stayed there

Wow very rough! Tho the ‘no hot water’ was irrelevant to the shower as it’s an electric shower with an element so heats the incoming cold water supply. May well have been knackered tho if it’s not producing a hot shower!!
