Thoughts on Mandalay Bay? Would you stay here?

I know your slot videos are now your bread and butter, but please keep doing the hotel/ restaurant/ destination reviews. Those continue to be my favorites.

We've never stayed at Mandalay Bay, but we eat and/or drink there every time we visit Vegas. Skyfall is one of our favorite lounges!

If we don't want to do a lot of strip walking, we'll do a quick weekend at MB. Not a lot of reason to leave the property if you don't want to. We still think it's an underrated gem!

Thanks Ruby! Mandalay Bay is my absolute favorite! It's nice being on the strip, but not being in the middle of it. So now I need to start planning another trip.

We stayed at MB this past weekend and did the $20 trick and the nice lady at the counter upgraded us from a standard king to a king suite! 🤑 First time trying this, won’t be the last! 😊

Pro tip, we go to foundation room early when they first open for 1-2 drinks and nobody is there at sunset so it feel like a nice lounge.

Ruby puts on a fantastic show....So glad u did another review on my family's SPOT in Vegas for over a decade. We stay there because it's NOT absolutely crazy with traffic AND more importantly the theme of the property along with huge casino floor, high ceilings, warm island atmosphere, dope wave pool, shops upstairs, connected to Luxor, free tram to Excalibur and New York.....all the stuff a young family could ever want to introduce their kids to Vegas and keep them coming back for life. Hella good upload!

First I want to say that I love the production quality of your videos! The music in this one made for a soothing experience. Re: Mandalay Bay, I've stayed there in a room pretty much like the one you showed for my annual trip to Evo since 2016. I genuinely really love the Mandalay Bay and I think you covered it really well. Something to note that the wifi was especially good for me last summer; I played some games on my gaming laptop from my room effortlessly. I'll miss it this year as I'll be staying at Resorts World since Evo moved to LVCC but I'll at least I'll see it from the strip as I drive by. 🙂

I was surprised Ruby liked Orla so much…then it was revealed at the end that they sponsored the visit, now it makes sense. Went to Orla with the family and everyone found it exceptionally mediocre even if the prices were reasonable (and they are not)

Great review Team Ruby, always the best LV content on KZfaq!! You can't go wrong with a stay at the Mandalay Bay, basically everything you needs at the property and very easy access to the south end of the strip. The indoor walk between the Mandalay Bay-Luxor-Excalibur is an easy walk to do, from there a quick hop over the skywalk and you are at the NY/NY or MGM.

Cheapest room at the Mandalay bay is on the 32nd-floor

I'm a MGM guy, but have never stayed at the Bay. It's not one of my favorites at the moment, but the room is very nice. The room tour sold me. I'll definitely have to consider. Love House of Blues and Michael Jackson One. Miss the days of when casinos had cars on the floor, and the Bay had those Power Strike machines right in the front of the escalators by the House of Blues, and when they had that giant Wheel of Fortune wheel slot.

I always stay at Mandalay Bay when I go to Las Vegas and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I'm glad you mentioned the great smell in the casino that greets guests.

Mandalay bay is my favorite resort thanks to the pool system. We took our kids for spring break and the joy on their faces was overwhelming! The place is consistently clean, nice, and away from the more seedy parts of Vegas that might not be kid friendly.

I'm heading to the Plaza downtown Las Vegas on Aug 9th 2024. I Can't wait! It is so cheap to go to Las Vegas in August because not as many people visit during the hot months.

typing this out in a stream of consciousness...i found the rooms nice, the coffee shop on the first floor near the elevators nicely convenient to walk down to at 7:00am....really good coffee+ they served late night drinks on the other side. Foundation room was kool...Delano Skybar was kool...the CASCABEL RIBEYE served at The Border Grill was fantastic and a great price at only $39.00..overall very nice...with that said..the speakeasy was a joke, we rented a cabana at the pool which served great drinks...however the pool itself was weak as f.. no "sandy beach"...no drinking within water line...can't even lay down in the shallow area with a cocktail and chat with friends, nor just stand there for any length of time as the 12 year old "lifeguards" ask you to move out to deeper water..the "waves" are laughable... skip the lazy river..its too short..needs to be like the one in Atlantis / Bahamas...now that's a lazy river :).oh yeah, the pizza at Slice of Vegas was great as well......

Love the view from skyfall

This is one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas. You are not cut off from the strip. As Ruby says, there is easy access via the tram. I also love the pool, the aquarium, and the restaurants. There's also a walkway so you can walk to other properties and stay indoors when it's hot. I think their basic rooms are actually quite nice. I like to stay in a new hotel every time I go to Vegas, but Mandalay Bay is on my short list for a return trip.

Holy Toledo, I'm from Toledo 😆. We love Mandalay Bay, staying there again in August. We eat breakfast at Citizens and love it. Been to Skyfall, that's amazing. Going to Foundation Room during our upcoming stay.

We stayed at Luxor a few years ago when Vegas was re-opening after Covid. We wandered over to Mandalay Bay and all I could say was "wow, so nice, compared to the 3 next door". So much more luxurious and clean compared to Luxor. However, many venues still were not opened yet, and lines were so long because of being shut down during covid. It's definitely on my list tho. Thanks for the insight.

Great vid Ruby!! Big fan of Mandalay, great property with a ton to see & do. Also want to shout out that you can see your two-time WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces at the Michelob Ultra Arena in the Shops! Fantastic atmosphere & very reasonable prices for tickets.

I loved my stay at Mandalay Bay last year and this year at Delano. Great property.

The "S Bar" was so much relaxing, laid-back fun!! The Bartender gave my daughter and I free drinks...and a lady was celebrating her 50th Birthday and she bought a round of drinks!! The food was absolutely delicious!! The cool vibe was just right! The Michael Jackson Circus Du Soleil Show was THE BEST show....EVER!! I'll be in Vegas in September for my birthday and I'll be seeing that show for the 3rd time!! Mandalay Bay is a very nice hotel!!

Haven't stayed in the Mandalay Bay part but did stay in a Scenic Suite at Delano last year and love the property.

I stayed at Mandalay Bay. My favorite hotel in Las Vegas . I had the pleasure of staying in a $400. A night suite . Later on stayed at a smaller room with a friend . Both rooms where well kept . I thought they one of the best water park pool areas . One of the best buffets . I highly recommend this hotel.

I woulsn’t have thought to stay here but maybe in the future. We have eaten at the House of Blues and their jambalaya was amazing! Hey Ruby, you look so good and are just so sticking adorbs! Love these video…well, all of them but love your reviews. Thanks, as always, for sharing!

I've been to MB years ago but only to check out the pool but totally want to stay there, dine, hit the pool,, casino and beautiful rooftop lounges! Excellent review and love the music and used Siri to find out who it was. :-)

I agree with everything you said 100% I myself actually stayed here last July and I had an absolutely amazing time staying at this hotel definitely one of my favorite hotels to stay at in Vegas. I loved their pool and I also agree with you on the bathrooms of this hotel definitely one of the best standard bathrooms I’ve seen in a Las Vegas hotel. Would I stay in this property more in the future? HELL YES

Thanks for the update. I’m staying there next month using MyVEGAS comp for two nights. It’ll cost me $120 total for resort fees and taxes.

We drive in from So Cal every couple months and always stay at Mandalay Bay and Delano. It’s away from the crowds and crazies. It’s easy access to the freeway without having to deal with strip traffic. But, like you said in the video, we never feel like we don’t get the strip experience.

I've never but had anything but a very good experience in all the years I've stayed at Mandalay Bay

We just stayed at Mandalay Bay this past weekend! I've stayed here a few times before and yes.. They don't disappoint. The staff is always super friendly & They even waived my early check in fee. You are right Ruby, The rooms are always clean & The bathrooms are huge! The main reason I always book here is the pools though. They open the pool area at 8:00 am and there are usually people lined up between 7:00 - 7:30 am to get the best loungers. You can't beat that lazy river. The main swimming pool was warmer than the river or the wave pool which was a nice feeling. I always hit up Ri Ra Irish Pub there for their fish & chips. Taking the free tram to Luxor or Excalibur keeps you from walking in the 100 degree heat. Can't wait to be back in October for the Santana show at House Of Blues there!

I've been staying at the bay since 2003, I stay at the rear tower, I get a suite, I love it , hope you win staying at the Bay
