I went to morecambe to stay in a low-budget hotel called strathmore Hotel.
I've seen other videos on youtube about the strathmore Hotel in morecambe homeing over 150 immigrants for over two and not being open to the public. I thought i would stay at the strathmore Hotel for one night with a mate called Adam rotton rooms youtube channel link below.

If you book two rooms, you should get two rooms. The hotel is at fault. You're entitled to leave with a full refund.

They get a grant from the government to redo up the place , once the immigrants have left , hence the new carpet etc , but don’t forget it’s us the British taxpayers who pay for this

Hello Dan , I used my UV light in my Home , bad mstake , I keep my place very clean , but there are underlying stains in places you would not expect ! , That has shocked me

I think I have a clean home, don't clean every day, but I think I would have a shock if I went round with your blue light on my walls and bathroom. I only dust top of doors about once a year. But stains on fabrics give me the creeps. Puts you off hotel stays somewhat. Staff usually have too many rooms to do in a short time frame. Good honest video Dan. Fair and not too critical.

Not saying it right but you’ll get homeless people from very different circumstances and backgrounds. You can’t tie everyone with the same brush.

I had my wedding reception in that hotel 35 years ago. It used to be one of the best in Morecambe, until the migrants moved in. It’s disgraceful what they have done to the place. They used to hang around outside like a bad smell and stare at school girls who were afraid to pass by. Good riddance to them now.

These were the hotels that were greedy. They closed to uk residents and didnt care. Yet here they are with the free goverment grants that were given to do their accommodation up. They havent used their profits to do it

Great video, it was cleaner than I expected, I walk past the hotel a few times in the week and thought it would be a bit of a mess inside. Good old Morecambe it is no better in summer Dan, try Lancaster for a look round next time you come back here Dan it's got more going on and more historical parts of the City 👍

It's also worth noting that laundry detergents often contain fluorescent chemicals themselves, so some of the "bodily fluids" that people freak out about in hotels may actually be detergent that touched or dripped on the sheets as they were moved around the laundry room.

The wife and I are glad you came to our home town If we had known you guys was coming we would have met up with you both and gone for a drink some where. However you both came at the wrong time of year there is northing to do in Morecambe at this time of year. Howwver the immingrants problem us locals been up in arms over them being here

You could put a U.V light literally on a brand new cabinet or curtains and it will pick up something. It's what U.V lights do! You go wild camping, try throwing a U.V light around your camping gear and you'll find all sorts!

Stains can be fluorescent for many days, and for some fluids the fluorescence actually increases with time. So they could be old, if the sheets weren't washed. But I would expect most of these chemicals to be removed or destroyed in a wash, especially one with bleach. Some of the more proteiny stains could be difficult to remove completely in a single wash, though they wouldn't be actually dangerous at that point, if they ever were.

Looked OK, but I'm the same, I wish I'd never bought a uv torch. Lol. It's addictive. I've stayed at a few 5 star hotels which work paid for. And f..k me, some of the stains you see are mental. Morecambe is very run down seaside town and to be honest it's ok for a few hours. Yet 50 years ago their was plenty of attractions for the family . The best thing about Morecambe now is the promenade. You'd think that the rooms being refurbished that they'd keep up with the cleanliness.

You should always take wet wipes with you,to wipe over the switches remote control, handles etc. store you touch them… especially toilet seat and handle 😮

THE BATH IS A ODD SHAPE SO THAT SIZE GLASS IS PROBABLY ONLY SIZE THEY COULD GET TO FIT, A SHOWER CURTAIN WOULD SOVE THE PROBLEM .

A lot of these stains are from flushing the toilet without putting down the seat, therefore it sprays the whole of the bathroom from floor to ceiling with bacteria from the toilet, hope that explains why

My Dad worked there in late 80s and 90s. Was a stunning hotel and quite well thought of. Wasn't cheap to stay there either. Looks like they have done something to try recapture the glory.

Stayed there about 6 years ago in a premier front room..it used to be a sherrings hotel..we had no problems..it wasn't the Ritz but a decent coach holiday hotel

The staff are everything, but I would have had to rip the curtains down and fling them out the window. The bathroom was a joke re the shower. The mountains you see across the Bay are the Lake District, 30 minutes drive away. Shame they had such a cowboy job done to the hotel. I hope you saw the Midland Hotel, a restored Art Deco building used as a film location whilst in Morecambe. I live 5 miles away from Morecambe so I know the area well. Great vid …those curtains were vomit w orthy.🤮

I love a trip to morecambe but we used the Travelodge. Was only £29 but was very run down and one of the beds broke and we had to sleep on the floor.

The only thing they need is a mattress bar, top and bottom. They will keep the mattress on. I have them on my mobility bed

Why don’t these places use a mattress protector?? It’s only me in my bed and I shower every day but I still use 2 x protectors (one is super soft so more for comfort) but they would really help!! Great video xx

I would stay in this hotel.Its clean ,cheap.Im not that picky but I would be having my mattress cover and sanitizing wipes for knobs and door handles.Also There is a standard that hotels must come up too and they are checked Never heard of a person having to share with a stranger,someone’s lying and wrong here!!
