In this video, I spent 100 days on Minecraft, but it's in an ultra hardcore modded Minecraft. This 100 days in Minecraft survival was by far one of my favorite 100 day challenges. Not only was it modded, but it was also in hardcore mode which means that if I died I would lose the entire world.

Fun fact: the pillagers on the first few days had piercing, meaning the arrows can go through shields

If ur gonna do a 200 days remember that u can equip an elytra without having to unequip ur chestplate also totems of undying u can attach them to armor so u can hold a shield while having a totem ready to go and more

The pillagers at the beginning could shoot through your shield because they had the enchant piercing on their crossbows which makes it so they can shoot through shields

@@WafflesMinecraft Thats not true at all, it very cleary says on the tooltip for the shield its gives 75% damage reduction when blocking, not 100% like base minecraft

I don't know if you knew or if anyone else has said this, but I would suggest clicking the little square thing next to your character in your inventory. It allows you to put things like totems and such without having it take up visual space. There's also a charms section to the right of your inventory, which gives you buffs in certain scenarios.

The Abyss needs to be a legit dimension, maybe it's only accessible after killing the Ender Dragon and has it's own boss.

yes frrr and also a great way to introduce a Totem of Abyss craftable from 4 abyss shards in a plus shape and basically does what the Totem of Void Dying does

the reason there werent any mobs when you were caving at the beginning was becuase in the second part of 1.17, theres a new feature where mobs will only spawn at light level 0

Oh, well thank you for the clarification! I almost feels like that takes the risk out of mining. I wish it was a configurable setting when creating the world just so you could make it more dififcult.

That's actually not a feature in 1.17. It's a feature in 1.18, which as of this video has not been released yet.

For the mob problem, I think the devs of the modpack implemented the new mob spawning system where hostile mobs only spawn in complete darkness

If you're wondering why your shield wasnt holding up against the pilagers, it's because they had tipped arrows with effects. Those effects can bypass your shield.

3:35 Shields can't block potion effects. Maybe that also applies to tipped arrows. At least, that's what I *think* is happening here.
