Monster Hunter is usually a game where you accept quests from a guild lady and go out to hunt a Monster according to said quest. But what if you had to survive? Today, I’m doing a Survival Challenge for Monster Hunter Rise. Here are the rules for the challenge:
1. Choose a locale and craft every gear from monsters of that local to prepare for the challenge
2. One Piece of a monsters gear is 3 of that monsters parts (4 if from an elder dragon)
3. Must Slay a Monster in order get the materials as well as shiny drops from the target monster
4. On site items only
5. Must start with no armor and a base weapon
6. No Decorations or Charms
7. Must stick with only 1 weapon type
8. To beat the challenge you must beat a final elder Boss of your choosing

It's just Valstrax's Ambush where the Rider and Navirou are holding on for dear life from how fast the beast is flying before the initial dive, then the Rider and Navirou would jump off before Valstrax makes impact with the ground.

Nice fan made survival story you made Reverjolt! I was thinking you might make MH rise but it’s a survival game again but in a different map, weapon, story and Elder Dragon. If you don’t want to make it again its fine I can wait for you take your time okay.

Another cool idea would be if you'd had to go through all of the regions to get back home,but only after you've defeated the regions elder dragon. Of course,this would take a ridicoulous amount of time with the current rules haha,still it was really fun to watch and a cool concept!

I have wanted a survival mh game for a while now and this is probably as close you can get to that. Great Job!👏 But i will say that instead of that seliana music stuff idk what it’s called but my point is that you should use more fitting and atmospheric music like you did in the end. But that aside this was REALLY good!

the next one should be the plains and sinc ethis was like a RP backstorylike expireience... the story to the plains is that ur a hunter that fell off the dragon ship attacked by a herd of diablos (like in the movie)and on the final day (though its not an elder dragon) u get revenge on the diablos(and also it would look so funny seeing u run around the desert in a jaggi mask LOL)

I would love for Capcom to make a game based around this. A new area where your with the first group of explorers and there isn't anything built. You need to spend the time doing actual investigation (not just hunting but also observation) and that unlocks notes on monsters. Then you provide parts to the blacksmithing and they use them to learn what qualities they can give and how to use them so you unlock the weapons as that research goes up. And if possible make it completely open world. It would be a massive difference between the main games but I personally think it'd be enjoyable

Once i saw this i was instantly hooked! I'm doing the Sandy Plains right now and it is BRUTAL and I absolutely love it. I tried taking down a anjanath when the only things i had were armor from a kulu,remobra and renophalos,and jaggis (great sword.) that i hunted. I couldn't kill it and the defense i had didnt help either. It made me realize how interesting this challenge is and it made me feel like i was playing a completely diffrent monster hunter game. So right now until i can find a monster i can hunt like a barroth or pueki pueki. i need to forge herbs and honey,watch out for stronger monsters and maybe try to get some materials for extra armor. This is really fun and intend to play this as much as possible.(Also My Final Boss Monster Is Kushala Daora.) I hope to see other monster hunter youtubers and people in genral to try doing this challenge online too.

I'm doing Sandy Plains as well! I killed some Rhenoplos and Jaggies for armour, and my next target is Rathian (no Kulus or Barroths around, unfortunately). I also got stomped by a Rakna-Kadaki while killing Rhenoplos. Luckily I survived, but it was stressful because they wouldn't leave me. There was also a Tigrex right outside of my camp when I spawned in. My final boss is also Kushala.

Hey nobody see the Flooded Forest as a nostalgic place? I think the zone lost some of this charm as being more clear and open, but gave me good memories of Tri. I remember how I suffered my first time angaist a Gobul and the satisfaction of taking down in this area :')

The most hilarious part about this to me is that, after all his effort and surviving like a champion for over a year when he's not even a Hunter, according to the lore all the unauthorized hunting would get him EXECUTED as he'd be deemed a Poacher. He probably wouldn't even be able to make it back to the Village since all Hunting Locales are "owned" be certain districts, meaning the huge amounts of death would be noticed by the Guild. Regardless, a super fun challenge, may Mike rest in peace 👍

Really Liked the idear of the Challenge but maybe make it so that you only have one Live ,so If you faint once its over. I personally think that this way the Challenges would be more interesting because there is a real danger in every decision

This was very cool and the stories 2 tie in was clever. However I do think you should only have one life like in a proper survival game so if you 'faint' you either have to restart the challenge or end it. Very good video tho

This looks like a lot of fun! I am wondering about a few details, though. When you say “1 piece of equipment = 3 monster parts”, does that mean you need to carve from a Ludroth three times in order to make a Droth Coil? I’m assuming you don’t claim quest rewards, correct?

Large Monsters gear pieces are 3 parts because 3 carves. Small monsters are 1 carve but I kept it as 3 parts anyway

This is a very creative challenge but for me just to put even more of a challenge on it personally if my stamina reaches to the lowest possible I cannot use my weapon as I a rule it as too weak to use it but that's just me personally just to put a big thing on food management and it's not like you don't have anything else to kill monsters besides your main weapon

I feel this would be an interesting challenge in World/iceborne since you can actually stealth in that game, unlike in rise/sunbreak... At least I'm 70% sure ya can't stealth in theses games at least😅

Imagine MH Game Creator see this Video and Got An Idea for The Next Future Monster Hunter game. Open World Survivor Monster Hunter Game so That you dont need to play Lost ark or somegame anymore. The Problem is it still Cost so much money to Create Open World with Online but if it spin off single player game still make sense.
