This actually happened to my family once. We were all leaving Target and we all got into a van that was exactly the same as ours. Same model, same color, they even had the same car seat in the same spot. My dad even unlocked it using our key. We all just sat there for a moment trying to figure out what was off. It was clean. Too clean. And there were clear foot mats in the back seat. We all collectively just went, "Umm.. This isn't our car..." And we got out. Looked down the parking lot and saw our car. Got in ours and pretended like we never touched someone elses lol. Most surreal moment of my life. Till this day I still wonder if that other family were like doppelgangers of us or something.

manufacturers only have a couple dozen to a hundred different keys, so it really isnt that unlikely to be able to unlock a different car from the same model (especially for stuff like the Panther platform its pretty common)

Old post. But yes, if my partner made tech videos and experiments for a living at 1/10 of the scale LTT group does... Honestly if the cart had a 45" tv attached to the f'ing roof I'm not sure I'd say something. Plus all the hurry and pressure makes it veeery hard to notice the details.

No way in a million years. I’m just as particular as she is - and she doesn’t care about vehicles the way I do - but move that steering wheel half a degree? She’d know.
