Someimportant to remember is that your netherite slowed you down a TON on all of the knockback based methods

the problem with most of these is that they take so long to build whilst the elytra can be used anywhere and everywhere so it’s probably more efficient

fun fact: with the boat knockback thingy, you shouldn't wear netherite armor as it reduces the knockback that you take.

the fastest travel method is using built up knockback from a pig pushed by an entity the edge of lazy chunks as the pushing gives it velocity but because it is in lazy chunks it cant move. Using this you can get to the world border in a couple seconds riding the pig (with like 20 minutes of charge up time for the machine to load up). for more information look up "360 pig cannon". there's also a really good explination by the youtuber JKM, its his latest upload titled "i made a world border permeter"

I think the netherite armor also reduced the knockback so if you did it with diamond armor it would be a lot faster

The ravanger thing works so well in the second case because the knockback effect strength is determined by player position relative to the ravenger. The blocks are just a guide to get you in the right position. You could theoretically do it with just a sheild but positioning yourself would be next to impossible.

I believe you didn't show the full potential of the Ravager method. Its been shown to basically be teleportation to anywhere if youre close and precise enough. The closer you are to it, the faster you go.

Btw, you can double the speed of the elytra using the both method, you showcased. And plus, if you use a speed potion on a horse while breeding it, when the potion is still active while it has been bred, the parents will pass on the generics of the speed effects, to the child. And the effects passed on, will be permanent. And you can keep doing this over and over again, till you get a horse up to 100 bph (Blocks per hour), or maybe even higher? Update: It can go higher than 100 bph, it can go up to 3000 bps (blocks per second) from my test results

With the massive pearl launcher, you’re gonna be building a bunch of new buildings and loading new chunks and you’re just randomly get teleported.

The final speed that was achieved was 38.18 meters per second, (since each block is a meter) which is around 11,300 kilometers per hour, or the rough equivalent of mach 9. Pretty damn fast for sure.

You forgot to factor in which ones work in the nether, anything that safely works in the nether has an 8x multiplier added onto its speed effectively. Would have been good to add a second round of ice boat in the higher tiers as in the nether at 70*8 speed it's 560 blocks per second.That's what makes nether ice boat travel the best SAFE travel method by a large margin. The other methods (especially elytra ones) also take you somewhere somewhat random while ice boat tracks take you exactly where you want to be with little to no risk of death unless someone sabotaged your ice track over lava.

Surprised no one mentioned this, but if you used any of these methods in the nether, you could multiply your overworld speed by 8. And if you built them on the nether roof, you wouldn't even have to worry about things getting in the way! So, the mega TNT cannon could potentially get you 36888 blocks per second...which would be almost 108 times the speed of sound. Tho, in the nether it would still only be about 13 times the speed of sound. But that would be some insane overworld travel distance.

There’s a way to go 20 million blocks a second, it’s the frame jump. It’s just a machine where you fly into it and weird boat hitboxes push you toward, but all in the same tic so you go instantly to world border. Of course it doesn’t work anymore and not well known but that is theoretically the fastest.

There might be another method that might be faster. Doc on Hermitcraft is using it to send items through unloaded chunks. Bounce a boat (or minecart.. can't remember which) back and forth A LOT to build up speed then release it. Doc sent the minecart or boat thousands of blocks VERY quickly. I'm not sure if it would work with a player though.
