Totally agree, this young girl is very beautiful. As a beauty therapist I would say a week is not long enough to test the product, though I can see a big difference already. Skin cell turnover is about 28 days, less the younger you are and more the older you get. I would like to see a before and after photo after a months use. Have you tried a salicylic chemical peel which is great for acne? X
@Susanne171062

In my salon I had a lady who came in with severe acne rosacea. I was a little reluctant to do any harsh treatments though I knew in the long run it would benefit her. I explained that for a while her skin would get worse but she agreed to give it a go. I treated her with microdermabrasion and mild chemical peels (not at the same time) over a period of a couple of months and after the first treatment she left my salon looking worse than when she came in (she looked like a tomato) and felt sure I’d not see her again but she trusted me. After two months of intensive treatments her skin was beautiful and she was in tears because she thought her skin would never become “normal” looking. She still has regular treatments and looks after her skin as I advised and has managed to maintain the results. I hope this story helps you in your quest for good skin too.

Also try to incorporate light therapy, especially blue and red light. Blue is kills bacteria and helps with acne and the red is healing and generates new skin cells.

@@SoniaAnastasiaaa Honey glycolic acid is wonderful for acne BUT not over the counter glycolic acid. The pH is to high on OTC. OTC is buffered between 3.5 and 4. The glycolic acid peels you get at a doctors office is at a pH of around 1.9. That is about 200 x stronger than any OTC product . I think salicylic acid or Adapalene would do you more good . Or perhaps a good low percentage benzoyl peroxide wash.

Yes , she's right !!! ☝🏼 BHA goes deep down into the pores as opposed to AHA , which just exfoliates the surface (for improved skin texture and helping with fine lines that is 20 something tend to get as we approach the big 30 😭) .... May I suggest Paula's Choice BHA ? I heard great things about it , it's actually one of the biggest sellers on the website ! I use the AHA because I do not suffer from acne but I do have slightly textured skin and so far I have seen an improvement . You can even get samples to try before you buy 😁

You're authentically beautiful no matter what, Sonia! You radiate positivity and light. I understand your pain though. I dealt (and am still dealing with acne). I went out Accutane twice, birth control and a bunch of other topicals. I tried the holistic path as well. My skin is doing a lot better mainly thanks to my two rounds of Accutane, but I still break out since going off birth control. I can totally relate to the way you're feeling in this vid. So many people recommending a zillion things all the time and nothing really works permanently. I used to avoid looking at myself in the mirror. Hang in there! I know you've been trying to fight this holistically for a year, so maybe it's worth trying something else. Ultimately, it's your body and your decision, but I wanted to let you know you're not alone.

all the stuff you said you've done kills off the good bacteria in your gut 95% of our immune system is in our gut.. you have to eat probiotic rich foods in drinks to get your good bacteria back and to fight off the now thriving bad bacteria because they don't have good bacteria to fight back... the reason ppl are suggesting things because there's always a reason for the issues your having your not just breaking out for no reason there's always a cause yes you can inherate being prone to acne but that is because you inherate your gut bacteria ... just like all my health issues are 100% caused by the facts I had an infection and the doctors put me on antibiotics for six years, ulcer medication and in turn completely killed off my good bacteria and ruined my gut pretty much for the rest of my life... you make or break your gut at 3 and once you mess it up its a long road to recovery but it is the core to your health... when I finally had enough of probably 300 rounds of antibiotics and still had the infection I finally looked up natural antibiotics like oregano oil I got rid of my six year+ long infection in a week and haven't had one since... so believe me natural is the best way to go you just have to be patient and HEAL YOUR GUT! because nothing can be fixed without your microbiome!!!!

Just thought I would add my two cents... girl! You are wonderful! I just stumbled upon your video in my home feed. People, everyone’s skin is different. I have seen online and heard so many people say, “don’t exfoliate every day”. But that’s exactly what my skin needs. If I don’t, I break out, my skin dries up and looks lifeless. BECAUSE I have built up to it. It’s about your skin, what it needs, and the advice of a dermatologist or esthetician. Please realize that just because something does or does not work for you does not mean it will be the same for someone else. Suggestions are nice to give, but it’s NOT going to be the same for everyone. All the love in everyone finding what works for them!! Get out their and be the best version of yourself possible in skincare and heart. ❤️😅😂❤️

I tried every skincare product for my acne when I was younger and nothing helped. I also tried every antibiotic out there, and have been left with yellow teeth as a result. The only thing that worked was two 6 months courses of roaccutane (I know it’s expensive but with all the skincare stuff I was buying it was probably comparable in price), with the only side effect being the need to wear lip balm. I never get spots now, not a one, and I can use anti ageing night creams and heavy moisturisers without breaking out. You are absolutely beautiful but I know the impact acne had on my self confidence for over a decade no matter how much people flattered me. Also worth trying if you can take the birth control pill is Dianette. I’m 43 now and sadly started the menopause at 36. This affected my skin at first but since HRT made me ill, I was put back onto dianette as an HRT substitute. Again, I no longer get hormone related ‘adult acne’ breakouts because of this. Acne really sucks but you truly are stunning irrespective of that x

I was using this along with other Ordinary products, but just wasn’t getting results for my hormonal acne. I decided to try the Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension and....EUREKA!! I finally found my holy grail. But using both acids dried out my skin. I gave up on the glycolic acid and kept on with the Azelaic, which gave me the BEST results ever. And my acne was similar to yours....side of my face, cheeks, forehead, jaw and even down to my neck (which is new to me). It was very frustrating to find a regimen that works. So I’m happy to say that after 7months of trials with various products, The Ordinary are THE BEST. These are the ones that have helped me and I’m sticking too: - The Ordinary Niacinamide (3 drops) - The Ordinary Buffet (2 drop) - The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid (2 drops) for my neck breakouts - The Ordinary Azelaic Acid Suspension - The Ordinary Moisturizer

Nina H. Katz Azelaic acid works well for cystic acne because it is antimicrobial and kills acne causing bacteria, but is also anti inflammatory and thereby reduces swelling and the redness it causes. Benzoyl peroxide products are also great for cystic acne.

Baby you don't need a moisturiser if you have acne! Acne is caused by excessive grease. You do not need more grease!! Use the toner if you must and leave it alone! The first time in my life I used moisturiser I came out in spots! Vitamin E is involved in the production of testosterone ...which is involved in production of guess what ACNE! You really need to leave your skin alone...cleanse and leave alone. My nephew had some acne as a teenager and he and his mum tried several products ...the more they tried the worse it got. They eventually STOPPED ...rinsed his face each night with water- in a few weeks his skin was much better. Now he had NO acne and normal skin.

@@betsygray9505 What a nonsense! You definitely need a moisturizer but gel consistency and with good inci. I can't believe that still exist people thinking that less is the best, not in every case, and the worst thing is to skip moisturizer

I would suggest checking for triggers. I suffered from acne for two decades and spent a lot of time, energy and money to get rid of it. I realized dairy, egg yolks,honey, excess sugary and deep fried foods made me break out . As soon as I eliminated these my acne disappeared. But it comes back whenever I consume too much of any of the above . Which I am alright with .🤷🏻‍♀️

Honestly I would recommend looking at diet with all the inflammation and also look into getting hormone levels checked. Reducing trigger foods and inflammatory foods works wonders for getting to the root cause of inflammatory acne. It also can help with other issues such as bloating and digestion issues. Our skin is always trying to tell us something when these types of outbreaks occur! Usually it has to do with food intolerance and hormones!

Your such a beautiful girl! Keep up the good work..I suffered with really bad acne when I was 20, I still get an occasional zit. Eating lots of fruits and veggies and drinking 4 cups of water right when you wake up in the morning is also balancing for the internal cleanse! :) Also, when I learned the importance of removing all my makeup even if my boyfriend is around, that is the hard transition! Like when the lights go out, then run and remove makeup, so he cant see. But, having no makeup will remove the problem. I think getting away with fake lashes and no makeup is distracting enough to not focus on the blemishes. Like accentuate the beauty and not focus on the blemish! The blemish can heal! Thank goodness and with time goes away. I also do a chemical peel which removes the left over scar the blemish leaves behind, the discoloration. I get like a TCA peel that peels that off, SUNSCREEN IS TOP PRIORITY if you do try that but! Toodles, I also use the Ordinary and enjoy it.
@christys1620

The TCA should be done by an Esthetician by the way, if you have Groupon or a coupon getting NO! Dont let anybody do an extraction!!! That will cause major scarring! Trust me! Dont pick! Ever, and dont squeeze.

Top tip for my comment section fam. ACNE GANG STAND UP I HAVE TEA Also maybe for the pretty girl in the vid. One of the best advice I learned while having acne and break outs and completely helped to clear my skin was to never cross contaminate!! Wash your face/cream/ tone in sections never wipe over a section and then the rest of your face... you ever wondered why the good ( none acne ) parts of your face randomly started to flare up too? Yh it’s swiping the germs from the acne all over your face. When washing/creaming/toning your face do the good parts first then the effected areas. Honestly it will save your face!!!

Glyxolic acid saved my skin! I reccomend working the usage per week down as you continue to use it! It'll be okay to use it a lot in the beginning to break down the dead skin layers but it can become irritating if you continue to use it all the time for extended periods of time. I currently find that just using it 2 to 3 times a week is perfect, along with hella moisturization. I have never tried this brand's glycolic toner but I enjoyed your review and will probably give it a shot when I'm out of the one I'm currently using!

Ive been trying The Ordinary brand theyre actually good. Last year august my skin broke out because i took BC. I had comedome acne. It looked like a rash but then i started have pimples with it. I switch my routine and nothing was really working. Boy oh boy i tried the benzoyl peroxide gel by Clean and clear. My skin literally looked like it was burnt but it was actually peeling. (I've used it before in the pass and got good results but never like this time) At that moment i was using the gel and an organic soap (garlic) and blackseed oil for moisture. But it spread from my cheek to my forehead 😫. I mean i could not use any of my ordinary facial cleanser or moisturizer or ill break out on top. Tried the African black soap a few months later and i was getting some were. A pimple here and there the texture was gone. But i felt like the pimples i got were already under the skin and what wanted to get out. ALSO i was detoxing be drinking herbal teas and i dont eat alot of meat but i still cut down a bit more. I barely had diary too. This was around Nov to Feb. And yea i lost like 10lbs too lol. Just July 2019 I order The Ordinary AHA 30%+ 2% BHA Peel Solution Hyaluronic acid 2%+ B5 Salicylic acid 2% Ascorbyl Glucoside Solutions 12% Im glad to say that this was a win win. Ive been using it for roughly a month and i mean its doing a very good job. The hyaluronic acid i believe is whats saving my skin rn. I have oily skin and just when you thought oh your skin is moist cause of the oiliness -Haaa- you thought wrong. - I use the hyaluronic acid right after i wash my face with my organic lemon or dudu osun black soap. -RIght after any of my face mask.. even the 30% peel -Then i apply any one of my moisturizer for the time of day am/pm AM I mix 2 or 3 drops of salicylic acid soultion with Clean and clear dual moisturizer and then my Sunblock after Reversa Radiance Cream with Spf 30 PM I use the Ascorbyl Glucoside Solutions 12% around 3 drops mixed with Night time Reversa Anti Spot Night Cream (which has Gylcolic acid in it as well) I do have hyperpigmentations that im trying to get rid of and these products are actually fading them rather well.

There’s an ordinary skincare line for hyperpigmentation which includes Niacinamide and Alpha Arbutin which are recommended on their website. This Glycolic acid toner saved my skin, I've been using it for almost 2 months now and also noticed a huge improvement on my scars ! Give it more time, it definitely works , I've seen results after about 2 weeks. I've also added The ordinary Salicylic acid on my night time routine (only on my pimples) and after applying this toner - my skin became bright red the morning after :'D, but EVERYTHING cleared out ! *** cystic acne for 10 months now, and followed most of your advice ***
