- you got the spelling of Asafoetida correct - the Malabar Parotta is a version of _Laccha Paratha,_ common in the North and East of India - i wouldn't call Dhokla a variation of Khandvi, even though the ingredients are virtually the same

uh While i do agree with you there are a few things, but some of what you said are a bit too generalized. like the first one, Amul is very prominent and might be the Dairy company with the most sales, but their sales are not that significant in a lot of states. Dont get me wrong, they do cover a very significant chunk, but not all. A lot of southern states, specially Karnataka mostly prefer their native brands over Amul. So yea, every indian may have eaten amul's product, but its not a go to for everyone. the layered paratha is made in a lot of places, in south however, Malabar, Ceylon, Coin etc type of Parotta's(or Barotta in some places) are famous, while North has similar varient known as Laccha Paratha. Paratha and Parotta are essentially the same word, though the pronunciation changes..the recipe also remains more or less the same, with some minor tweaks. However parotta just generally signifies the flat bread has connection to the south, while paratha usually signifies its from north(Same same but different lol).

I'm American and came to comment about the Tamarind Chutney and Mint Chutney Just SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD.
