For the first time, I am proud of DBD
I think there was a misunderstanding in the part of the 2v8 gamemode being limited. DBD have to do their testing with each killer and status effect. I should had been more clearer but hopefully the gamemode is permanent in the future. ❤️

I am pretty excited. However I don't know about all the things in the PTB. I'm a console player (R.I.P.) so the ONLY changes that I've actually seen are from content creators. Since, content creators ONLY post stuff on the new killer/survivor I have absolutely no idea how the rest of the changes in the PTB will turn out

It will be back, but they have to balance it by slowly adding killers and perks so that it isn’t unfair. Like 2 devour hopes, or wesker grabbing a survivor hooked by slinger. The interactions are basically doubled

They confirmed that 2v8 will only leave for a little so they can add to it or make adjustments and will eventually be a permanent mode.

Well they certainly need those months to fix stuff cuz currently, in just a couple hours i found a pallet with a window that you literally can't pass through as both killer and survivor on coaltower, and on lary's you can blink ON the map as nurse, and literally see everyone from above walking around XD And there's always more and more bugs since the new engine

2v8 isn’t limited and will per a go away. I feel like this is BHVR feeling the water and see what ppl like and don’t like, which is why they have the more basic and well known killers. Not to mention, how would they code nemesis and wesker infection or singularity biopods and skull merchants tracker? I feel this is more of a trial, and if people like it which is definite, it’ll become a permanent game mode. But that’s why it’s the first 5 killers, they would have to find a way to code all the killers status effects to overlap somehow without messing up the ui / gameplay.

The DnD crossover might have me back for a while to come ! I love that the survivors will be able to properly use magic now ! And not only that, but the playable character is a Half-Elf Bard ? This crossover is like a psy-op targeting me 😭 And Im all for it 👌

Either devs will be too afraid to put them in or bcuz the bad contacts with licenceholders like freddy or pinhead, im a huge fun of chaos shuffle bcuz you can play anyone you want on any map you can even select items and addons, no restrictions at all and thats good, I know I just said a lot but cmon its 2v8 its gotta be *perfect*

To be honest it has had a pretty big effect on que time and I knew this was going to be the case going into this thing. If it wasn't for that I would be mad about it going away soon. But I understand that there are problems surrounding this idea and we the community are their testing tool to see how to balance every single issue with it. Obviously they have to work on it at some point and for that it will have to go away for a time. Perhaps it could eventually be added to certain events so that we still get to play it from time to time.

As cool as 2v8 sounds This being a very beta version of the game mode, i guess I'm just to used to perks and add ons on both sides And with killers being nerfed downed since they don't get add ons or perks, can't go for any meme builds Like infinite showtime tricksters Pure haste build Double projectile killers One shot combo killers I would've been okay with at least add ons being allowed for killers but not even that, Killer will get super boring without unique or quality of life add ons I hope with these special unique gamemodes they add more to it Always 2x bloodpoints Some side might get more like 3x if they need more players Xp bonus of 2x for levels Because the moment bloodpoint offers can't be used, I'm gonna feel as if my time is wasted playing a gamemode that has less freedom all for a gimmick that doesn't value my time Felt the same with the darkness mode Little oni Not worth playing more than 1 or 3 games because the time used there felt wasted. 2v8 will be fun longer than the other 2 modes but if there isn't increased value in the game mode, going back to 1v4 where all the content i paided for is usable.
