My son's is doing the same thing. It happened after it got left out in the rain. Sputtering and smoking real bad. I haven't checked the oil but I did dump the gas that was in the tank and poured new gas in it. It didn't help. So I'm gunna try to drain the carb and lines and try to run it for a while to see if that does anything. I don't really have any knowledge on small engines and can't seem to find a good forum to turn to. Any advice would help.

You're killing the clutch. The gear ratio it to short. You need a torque converter.

We use to put the bike on a milk crate put some stp gas treatment in gas tank run engine clean out carburetor if been running without air filter.good as new with new gas installed.

Did your oil change smell like gas? The stuff you felt coming out the exhaust might have been carbon build up. I would suspect the rings are bad. Might be time for a motor rebuild or swap.

mine did the exact same thing and the way I fixed it was by the carburetor is a spring it came out of place

I though my engine was making a knocking noise from inside the crankcase but it happened to just be the clutch bolt was loose and the clutch was knocking back and forth

BRO guess what happened to mine. So yesterday i rode it and it was perfectly fine everything was good, i parked it in my garage and was gonna ride it the next day. Then today i started it and it put the choke on and it started puffing smoke and engine started smoking and it was making weird noises and i turned it off and tried starting it again but when i tried starting the engine it wouldnt start. Welp i was thinking to buy a predator 212 anyways so i guess i will just replace the engine with a predator 212cc and make sure this doesnt happened again.

For me I had a very similar sound like that on my bike and it was because my muffler was loose.

So tighten the clutch it might be knocking back and forth

I had that with by drag bike and it is a blown clutch

God please help the internet. Its Not a dipstick Holmes. Its just where you add oil. Dipstick would have a "stick" attached" to that threaded cap, which shows the level of oil. No stick= no dipstick.
