She's due any day now and we couldn't be more excited!! ❤️
Hi there! 👋🏻 We live on a 1-acre farm right in the middle of the busy city of Phoenix, Arizona! Our names are Kevin & DaNelle, and we moved here in 2009, when our kids Ethan & Lydia were just 6 & 4 years old 🥰 Over the years we've raised goats for milk, chickens for eggs, built a fish/swim pond, planted fruit & nut trees, and grew a large garden full of veggies. We've also raised a bunch of other animals like pigs, sheep, turkeys, geese, peacocks, and more!
Now that our kids are away at college, we have settled into doing what we love most -- which is raising & breeding goats ethically to improve genetics. But don't worry, we'll forever love our goofy pet goats like Luna the herd queen & Willow the stump lover. We also still love raising chickens for eggs, gardening, tending to the fruit & nut trees, and growing fish in the pond. We use the fresh goat's milk to make cheese, butter, yogurt -- and we use that + everything else we harvest on our little farm to make delicious meals. Having a getaway from the busy world right in our backyard brings so much joy to us each day, and we hope it brings some to you, too. 🥰

It feels like yesterday that Fern was just a little baby herself, and now she's having babies! I think some good F names are Flora, Faye, Finn, or Flint. But I'm sure there are other great ones out there.

Reminds me of the book & movie Never Cry Wolf - a wolf marks his territory around the character's camp. So the character tries re-marking around his camp with his own urine. Wolf basically erases it quickly.. 😁

You all should turn the names on the stalls removable so that you can remove them easier with out damaging the barn. You could add a flat flush hook to the backs of the name planks and the coordinated flat flush channels for them slide into at the four corners of each name plate. Just an idea.

_That's _*_exactly_*_ what i thought of!_ I love that scene when he's running around singing "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major General". I'd never heard of the _Pirates of Penzance_ until i went looking to see what he was singing. Now _that's_ one of my favorite things, but mostly because if reminds me of that movie. I've heard that LGDs can take up to 2 years to be trustworthy around livestock. So if you're planning to get a puppy, that might be something to consider.

Honestly, You guys don't have a lot of land, I don't think you guys need a LGD specifically, a regular large family guard dog would probably work fine. But of course you guys have to do what you think is best for your farm :))

My border collie protects all of my animals they’re also very good at herding animals but beware they are hyper and need a lot of work to do

And also they don’t really have a off switch so they can go For long periods of time and only sleep for like an hour and I’ll be ready to work another 23 hours
