Illinoisan here. As soon as the narrator in Story 1 said "East St. Louis," I assumed we were getting a very different kind of story. Glad it was just a chemical plant explosion and the narrator wasn't stabbed, beaten, or robbed.

Joel, World of Horror Stories literally uploaded an entire on of your videos 17 hours ago and didn’t give you any credit. They didn’t even bother changing your intro sound or the end of your video, but gave no credit at all and changed the background and title of the video. Figured you should know

Has anyone ever seen National Lampoons Family Vacation, yes the scene in East St. Louis is very accurate. I’m very happy she wasn’t stabbed, robbed or beaten either. I live in South St. Louis (which btw is in Missouri). East St. Louis is in Illinois and I remember when that happened. Joel, you’re amazing!! My favorite narrator. Please don’t ever go to East St. Louis…unless you’re looking to party but still be very careful 😂.

If these stories have taught me anything, it's how common substance use is. I grew up in a family that doesn't even drink or smoke (and I never have), so it's weird how there are stereotypes about who does when the reality is that seemingly all kinds of people do.

First story, yah but if they would have taken last room, then the “no vacancy” light would have been turned on. So no other travelers would have even stopped. Hence, no shooting, no one dies.

The motel story in the beginning was crazy, but that couple would be alive if they would have booked the room bx the No vacancy sign would be on or the would have turned around immediately before the shooter arrived. Wow if women wasn't so picky that couple would be alive, its just another view even tho the shooter is responsible, just the thought of getting could have changed the outcome.

Coordinated gang and group violence exists in all levels of society - andsuch crimes are committed for various reasons. In the 4th story, the character relays how they see the same person observing them earlier, now participating in trying to abduct them. We all know; this report would have been dismissed, even if it were real, as a paranoid retelling of events. This is the world we live in.
