So glad you posted this. I'm so stressed about starting this medication. It's really helpful to see the possible effects

First week was kind of rough for me feeling sick and trouble sleeping and had sweaty arm pits and feet increased anxiety but don't let that discourage you it will get better in a few weeks and you will be so happy you did it and got through the beginning stages. I used melatonin to help me sleep at night as well. Good video thank you for sharing all this to help others!

Lexapro took 7 weeks for it to kick in for myself, you go backwards before you go forward. 20mg was the dose that worked for me.

I tried it for 3 days and after reading comments on how dependent you become of this i quit. I had every symptom you can think of as well as withdraw ones while on it. I felt like a robot and happy once these symptoms went away. Best of luck to you

I had to get off of it after the second day. It shot my blood pressure up to dangerous levels. My pressure was normal in the past.

I’m only going to take it for the next 28 days because I’m not depressed and I only have mild health anxiety. I’ll rather do it naturally because there can be long term consequences which I’m like eh where’s the fun in that.

I have a generalised anxiety disorder which I can usually deal with but i was going through a particularly bad episode of anxiety so asked my doctor for some help, she put me on 10mg per day lexapro, well after 3 days of taking the lexapro I went into horror panic attack that lasted about 5 days, it was truly traumatising I couldn't eat or sleep for the 5 days it was a living hell, after 5 days of non stop panic attack I stopped taking the lexapro and the anxiety and panic subsided and went away within about 36 hours. Lexapro may work for some people but it's not for me, actually what it did for me is showed me that I can deal with my anxiety myself without SSRI meds.

I’m 8 days in and I finally feel like myself again. I’m on 10mg.

My Dr has wanted me to start Lexapro 5 mg for 2 months now but I don't want it. So far I'm managing with a tiny dose of diazepam when anxiety is bad - which is like once a month right now and no side effects to deal with.

2 days on 5 mg. I have this empty feeling now. Like no emotion at all, not a zombie feeling. I'm not tired or wired. No anxious, no appetite at all, just empty. It has stopped the sparactic crying spells today. I do not think I like this. Will this pass?

There is a dna test(sulliva sample) I did to help my doctor find the proper medicine for me. Look it up.

If i had my time again i would never touch SSRI's especially lexapro!!

I’ve been taking it since 12/2019. Overall, not a bad experience but I’ve had weight gain, fatigue most of the day, and feel like my depression/OCD has gotten worse.

I’m happy for you I also get anxiety thoughts n they put me on an antidepressant called luvax

Terrible drug-

I tried Lexapro twice... both times I'd get horrible anxiety after being on for two weeks. Had to stop. Not a fan of Lexapro! I know how you feel. I've tried 4 or 5 of em all made me worse... zoloft turned me into a zombie, Cymbalta gave me insomnia and panic attacks. Honestly kinda sick of trying meds, they just seem to make things worse. The other problem is if you find one that works. Good luck getting off... you become dependent, and eventually it will stop working. Shit sucks hang in there!

I was just prescribed Lexapro for Anxiety and panic attacks and I’m so scared of meds bc of my past. The last two years of my life have been hell. Some days are great. I was only 6 days on lexapro and I had to give up. It made everything worse and I have never felt so sick in my life. I couldn't bare it.
