Hey Pekin! I play a lot of Rakan mid and what I like doing is taking manaflow band and storm for secondary runes so you can skip the mana item and go straight to burst items. The assassin playstyle requires ignite, electrocute and another damage item to be able to do insane damage and even kill in one or one and a half spell rotations, I personally really enjoy stormsurge first and lich bane second and deathcap/mejais third, the damage and healing is insane! The downside is clearly the ability haste, so the playstyle is very pick-oriented and using E to engage and disengage with your team to get cooldowns again. Some people like nashors first to farm or into tankier matchups, but I have not been able to try it out, have been getting only squishy opponents lately!

Rakan Q heal scales with lvl not with Q level if that makes sense. You can max other ability and have same heal as if you were maxing Q, the only thing that scales with points into Q is cooldown (which is pretty amazing, from 11s to 7s) and damage.

Only like 10 minutes in, but yeah, it's so refreshing to see your teammates support you and make plays around your champ even though you're playing a weird mid pick. I wonder if that feels refreshing compared to Master tier or if this was just a coincidence. But hell of a team so far and the plays have been sweet!
