Decoration is really personal so someone having a different taste to me is fine. My problem with council/housing association properties is that everything is usually stained brown as the tenants seem to always smoke like chimneys and have pets that urinate on every surface, and they are never cleaned before you move in even if they tell you they have been. The kitchens and bathrooms are always a good decade old and falling apart but won't be replaced for another 15 years too.

Hi depends I’m in uk so if you put your name down on the council now you will be put on a waiting list… I would really advice to stay at home at 16 sweetie it’s so expensive nowadays and it is never fun getting a flat so young though it may seem it xx

@@ionaf06 If you can stay at home please do it's hard out there stay with your parents and save up as much as humanly possible I left at 19 and it's been really hard at times I couldn't imagine leaving so young

Hey there hun, I no it may feel overwhelming especially if this is your first property, but take your time Rome was not built in a day and I totally understand the struggle being single with 4 children , having a small business and also receiving government help , it’s not a lot and it ain’t easy my dear, but you will get there keep watching these DIY videos on a budget and you can do it but trust me hun there is no rush. I think you can get advance payments from government to help with furniture and appliances so look into that and as for friends sometimes it’s best because must don’t want your best interest at heart:.. just stay strong and you will get there 😘

Hi , the council only repair major work or problems which cause a concern or safety issue .. they only fixed the fence outside and I had to wait over a year for that .. I paid a plasterer to do the walls in the dinning room on a cheap everything else was done by myself

Hi I already inquired about this but they refused, they said the house is old any re decorating would be down to myself… all the cleaning and painting work I did myself , this video really demonstrating how on a budget , paint wallpaper and a lil imagination you can transform a old look into a new one without any major repair ..

Yes I did get permission and the only thing I did the the house really is put tiles on the floor… it was all on a budget nothing was really spent on it all it was was elbow grease, paint and wallpaper

Also I have gone into buying it now so the house will be mine soon .. no damage was done involving this refurbishment

Huhhh so why would I make a video please like it's that hard to put paint on the walls and put tiles up... that's the whole reason for making the video if you want a step by step you only had to ask always someone wanting to say something negative come off my page
