Oh wow yeah that’s great. One time I was at the grocery store a while back and I noticed a older man with like 7 100$ google play cards. I never thought about this stuff that’s going on because back then I wasn’t that educated on how scams work. If I could go back in time I would, to that old man and kindly have a quick convo with him. Gosh, I cannot even fathom the fact that I probably witnessed someone buying all those cards to get scammed. I feel so bad!

Highly doubtful. Any real victim that's fallen this deep into the scam has already been coaxed by the scammer, they wouldn't even notice it.

Scammers are so desperate, so they would probably persuade the victim into believing that they are legit and there is nothing to worry about.

It's emotional manipulation and I agree, it's sick on a new level.

It's gross, but it's also an interesting cultural difference. Never have I ever heard someone use such terminology- comparing themselves endearingly to a member of your family. Really intriguing, seeing cultural differences. I presume "family" is a somewhat more nebulous idea in India and the eastern hemisphere in general, if "I am like your grandson" is something so ingrained in their psyche that they translate it into English and use it to win favor from their victims.

Some of them do not care. There is a video that I just randomly clicked on whereby a woman received a telephone call from a scammer. She was in tears and then she told the scammer that she was pregnant. He told her that it was a scam and then hung up the phone. It makes me very angry and sad that people are tricked in this manner. Some people are probably tricked, realise what happened and are too embarrassed to say anything. It s just so wrong what some people choose to do.

Yo I have that problem all the time (because that’s the time that I’m high) and all I can recommend is once you’ve caught yourself spacing a bit and you can’t catch what’s going on is to rewind a bit or just keep riding the wave and catch on from where you came back in Usually it actually just happens because there are the parts he takes out and jumps forward in the interaction and then I rewind back and I’m like “oh that’s why it changed suddenly... because it did in fact change suddenly” Then I laugh My how I laugh on some occasions
