You should do a poll on what shade of Blue the Caley used on it's engines. That would certainly get some interesting results.

i feel like this doesn't take into account for people that just so happen to like those liveries. i mean, hate your audience all you want, but burnt umber and furness red have had fans way before thomas existed, so it's fair to say that the rws can't be the only factor.

Whilst the RWS is indeed not the only factor in one's preference for a livery, as I stated in the conclusion, it does not explain the perceived familiarity complex when I listed non-existent liveries. The query is one that strafes that line between sort of knowing what the subject about and just following the crowd. ... Still won't make me like Furness Red though, even if it was especially made from the minerals in the region.
