I think glossier is a brand that you either love or hate depending on your makeup style

I feel like every KZfaqr I watch review Glossier hates it, but looks absolutely gorgeous at the end of their video. I personally like Glossier. I want people to think I'm not wearing anything. Who doesn't want to look like themselves, just a little better?

With the first product you applied, it didn’t exactly give coverage (spots etc), BUT it DEFINITELY made a noticeable difference in evening out your skin tone, at least on camera :)

That sheer coverage is definitely not nothing, it made your skin look like you had naturally nice skin, smoothed everything out. I don’t think you need to have perfect skin to wear it you just need to be going for the no-makeup look!

Skin tint would look beautiful on those who want minimalist natural makeup, great starter for teenagers who don't have blemishes. Youthful skin would love this.

Hey, former Glossier pop-up employee here! Honestly the skin tint was something I rarely recommended customers bc it is SO absurdly sheer.... BUT for me, I like to mix a powder foundation (like the Wowder) into the skin tint bottle itself to thicken it up and give it more coverage bc I really do enjoy the texture and glow that the skin tint gives, but I definitely agree on its own it’s basically zero coverage. Hope this little tip helped!

I find it so sad how so many beauty people here on youtube genuinely seem to hate their own bare skin. I thought that Kristi looked great with the skin tint on and she has really nice skin, yet she still thought that she looked 'like shit' because of some minor imperfections like redness (which I couldn't even see).

Interesting how critical we are of ourselves lol like when she was saying how the skin tint wasn't covering all her redness and pigmentation... I was like GIRL WHERE? lol

If my skin looked good enough for a foundation that sheer, I wouldn’t wear foundation.

Here’s the thing about Glossier, they’re a brand that does not misrepresent itself. They tell you what they’re about and how their products fit into their image from the get-go; I mean, their motto is Skin First. You can’t dive into Glossier thinking you’ll be able to get that IG/KZfaq Sculpted-Bronzed-Highlighted-to-the-Gods look. I love Glossier. Their minimalistic approach was what drew me to them. I absolutely love that lit-from-within look their products give. I don’t have perfect skin, but I don’t mind having my blemishes show. Not everyone with skin issues wants to cover them up. I use skin tint only to make the rest of my skin even. Sometimes I’ll cover some scars with concealer, sometimes I can’t be bothered. I love, love, love boybrow because I absolutely hate pencils, pomades, and anything that has the potential to get messy. Boybrow is the perfect product for me. The cloud paint, haloscope, lid star, stretch concealer, balm dot com, the gloss, lash slick- these are products I use everyday. It’s not exactly what I would use for a night event, or wedding (with the exception of boybrow), but they are most definitely what I use day to day. Glossier is not the brand you should recommend to someone who loves a full beat, or someone who loves any kind of coverage in their foundation, or a total matte finish because these people would find Glossier products horrible. If you’re considering buying a Glossier product, watch some of the videos on their channel. What you see is what you get, don’t expect anything different. Yes, they use models with great skin, just like any other cosmetic/skin care company, but what can you do? For the love of GOD Estée Lauder uses Kendall Jenner to advertise anti-aging products 🙄. Or if you want to results on real people, look up their hashtag on IG. For what it’s worth, I think the skin tint and stretch concealer looked absolutely great on you Kristi!! ❤️Give it another try on a day you have nothing planned ☺️

its so weird to me that people think glossier is nothing, like nooooo coverage and suuuper greasy because where i live, in France, if you were wearing much more makeup, people would think you were trying way too hard, and you looked fake. I know this cause i wear glossier religiously, even as an acne sufferer, and i know that if i had much more on i would be seriously judged. I think this made me realise how unrealistic my expectations were, like i thought that people who went full-beat, looked super natural irl. But i don't think that is the case, and it has seriously opened my eyes. Remember, fellow peeps who compare their naked face to youtuber's full faces of sephora makeup, filmed with ring lights, YOU ARE NORMAL. When these gurus use something that makes them look like themselves, they dont like it, and dont feel comfortable. This is nothing against youtubers, just lets all try and stop comparing ourselves to what we think is perfect cause in reality, they dont actually look like that. Not intending to offend anyone, love your channel xxxxx

i used to be obsessed with covering every single pimple of my face but after seeing how it made my skin look cakey, I switched over to spot concealing and no foundation. i want to try this brand because it seems so natural looking, which I really love now. overall, I love your review Kristi, it’s so honest! love from uk!

Honestly I was never gonna buy anything from Glossier anyway because my oily skin doesn't need extra "glow" but it was really nice to see someone for once not totally overhype and love every product and kind of be nutral and call the products what they are: "fine."

I feel the same about the skin tint. It also becomes SO shockingly oily a few hours in. Like, my hair sticks to it. Its a whole thing.

I must say (you always look beautiful) but I am shocked ay how much I love this look on you. I think the Glossier "no makeup, makeup look" looks soo stunning on you! It's a shame you're not a fan!

i love glossier because it helped my skin!!! i spent 5 years caking my face with foundations, heavy concealers, and powders. i switched over to a light coverage foundation in the spring and got the skin tint and found my acne spots got so much smaller! i think it’s because it’s allowing my skin to breath, it really covers my spots if i do like two small layers of the skin tint, but i absolutely love this brand!!

After I saw Allana rave about the concealer, I bought it and it’s a HUGE game changer for me. I have bad dark circles and my under eyes are pretty dry. Even though it doesn’t cover all of my darkness, it’s the only concealer that doesn’t look dry on me and doesn’t get Creasy and yucky! 🙌🏽

As crazy as it sounds, the skin tint mixed with the makeup forever water blend is actually the best base/foundation combo for me. I don’t like either on it’s own but combined! Wow! Natural glowy but actually covers!!! You need to give it a try since you have both lol

I know you are not fan of the products, but I must say you look gorgeous and luminous, like a glam french film star. Like "I wake up like this and you wish you would" look

The skin tint makes your skin look so beautiful. Full coverage foundation looks really bad in natural lighting but I always get compliments when I wear the skin tint because my skin looks so glowy and smooth.

Hey Kristi, would you consider giving this a try again on a day where you can wear a whole face of Glossier and do a wear test? I would love to see how the skin tint looks when you spot conceal and if it’s buildable.

Personally I don't have perfect skin at all and I still prefer light coverage (I just spot conceal). Mostly out of laziness but also because it makes me feel more comfortable, because I don't feel it and therefore don't think about it too much. It puts me more in the mindset of "he you can see a few spots but whatever". When I wear a full face I'm way more conscious about it like is it still on, is it wearing off weird, can you see my pimples etc. It just makes me more self-conscious. Also when you get deep painful spots like me there's just a point where adding more and more foundation/concealer just makes them look worse and even more noticeable haha. I kinda loved the finished look btw, your skin is really not as bad as you think it is !

Oh oh, Glossier fans will come after you. They’re hardcore about that stuff. LOL I definitely loved the final product because I enjoy a more minimalistic look. Will try the Cloud Paint and the BoyBrow. The skin tint is definitely not for me either, it looked like NOTHING. Will stick to my Lancôme Skin Feels Good skin tint. It is dewy but with light coverage. The concealer looked great on you but I understand you cause I hate that sticky feeling too. You did looked great at the end!

Glossier’s products work for me. Im not a full-coverage girl, and I’m not a heavy makeup girl in general. The reason I opt for glossier as opposed to other light coverage makeup (that isn’t as pricey) is because they really do work with my skin sensitivity and don’t break me out. They make me feel like a fresh dewey fairy princess or some shit lmao.

Glossier sold and image and a “vibe” VERY well. The thing is the products I guess are perfect for someone with normal, blemish-free skin who can’t be bothered to spot conceal and learn how to use regular makeup products in a sheered down your skin but better way. I don’t see this working for very dry skin because it would catch on texture and look awful and on oily skin the makeup would slide all the way off after like 10 mins. They did an amazing job at marketing (they called the powder “wowder” lmao) and selling an ideal of the effortless cool chic That said you look very pretty and soft in the final look and I think this is exactly the type of look Glossier fans are going for!

You should do an updated one! They have a setting/face powder and a full glossier play line!

my prob is i can obtain THE SAME effect by mixing my moisturizer with a drop of my full coverage foundation- concealer. i didnt see any wow results that make me wanna purchase the foundation. plus if i ever wanted to buy things so thinly pigmented i would buy from mac cos is more bank for my bucks

I'm so happy you reviewed this brand! I also have slightly dry skin with the most dry section being my forehead and I would have been pissed at the lack of coverage and if it picked up any of my dry patches. This is the content I LOVE.

i hate when youtubers hate on or either put shame on products that are natural and sheer... not everyone is into cake face like they are and some people like products like glossier has because they like the natural look and the subtly it has, im a student and personally love glossier because it’s so quick and easy in the morning and it enhances my features and i thjnk that’s what these beauty youtubers need to say instead of saying “these products are pointless” because they’re used to full coverage

On glossiers insta, all the models are obvi perfect and look good with this stuff but I’d rather not look soaking wet and like I’ve been trekking through a rainforest bc I’m not a cool edgy model. Most of the line seems like glorified Vaseline

Just my opinion of course, but I think that if you used all the products including the skin tint, concealed the pimples and used the powder you would look AMAZING. Not that you don't always. I just adore you. But I think it would have been beautiful

Glossier cloud paints are my holy grail blush product. I love them so much, they never look patchy or dry on me, and they sink into the skin so beautifully.

I find if I spot conceal when I use sheer foundations I love it. I like that sheer combined with a heavy eye and natural skin is a fun look to try.

I love Glossier and switched everything over to it because I love the natural dewy look best. It’s definitely a brand that was needed in the world. LOVE the dewy sticks and liquid eyeshadows!

A really great glowy everyday foundation is the physician’s formula healthy foundation. It has coverage AND glow and it’s BEAUTIFUL. I wore it to ikea with no concealer, and I was in the passenger seat of the car and could not stop checking out my skin. I didn’t even realllyyyy need concealer: I think you would love it

i have acne but i have to say i ADORE skin tint. i resisted it for a long time but once i started treating it as a primer for spot concealing and not a *foundation* it was life changing. i always have trouble wearing concealer and other products without foundation but skin tint is exactly the right base to blend concealer into without adding coverage anywhere you don’t want it. it’s perfect for makeup that perfects without looking like anything - like your Kate Winslet in The Holiday video.

I have almost every product😍 All my friends think I never wear makeup but in reality I just keep it clean and simple. Their primer moisture is AMAZING! + Brow pen, mascara, highlighter, eye liner pen💕 Highly recommend this brand to everyone! I haven’t tried the sheer foundation. I skip that and just wear the moisturizer.
