When he was done with the grapes, I thought to myself "He ate the mango like a madman and made a giant mess. How the hell does he plan to open the melon? Chrush it against the wall?" And in the next shot I immediatly see him smashing it against the bathtub. I mean he did end up opening it with the tweezers, but I wasn't that far off. I guess he really didn't want to buy a knife when he spent like $600 on fruits, or even borrow one from the hotel or something.

OMG! I used to live in Miyazaki and even though I also don't really like fruit, that mango is out of this world. Only in Miyazaki at the peak of the season could you get one at the grocery store for about 1200 yen because it was local. 懐かしいなぁ～ I was so excited to see this thumbnail and crossed my fingers that you were talking about Taiyo no Tamago. Miyazaki is known for 3 exports: Miyazaki beef, Free-range (jidori) chicken, and the Taiyo no Tamago mango. The highest sale price so far at auction was ~$4000 for a pair. I'm so happy you tried it and loved it!

This reminded me of the series that EatYourKimchi studios used to do on these fruits. It was crazy seeing the difference as well as the way everything was packaged. I can't remember how many they did, all I know is the price got steeper the more videos they did.
