wash and go 4c natural hair is hard. wash and go natural hair is hard. So getting through an entire 4c wash day is hard enough, but when you add high shrinkage to the mix, life is hard. Natural hair isn't without its challenges, but this dry damaged natural hair really does up the ante. having kinky hair too is pretty intense most of the time lol So, hopefully my shrinkage test will be helpful to you somehow. :)

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate your channel. You have hair that's ACTUALLY like mine and give tips/information that I can ACTUALLY use on my hair. I'm down for natural hair videos as entertainment lol, but it's also nice to know that I can apply these things to my hair because i'm not just watching the stereotypical 'Type 4' (4a, lowkey 3c) Natural hair KZfaqrs who all have thick, juciy, long hair that looks and acts nothing like mine. I can do the things you do to your hair and it actually turns out similar/the same??? WHAT A CONCEPT

Leilani Dru why not? Y’all are too consumed with curl pattern. If a 3c/4a girl has the same porosity as yours her tips will be 100% more helpful than a “4z” girl with a different porosity than yours. Also did you know the person who made the hair typing chart said all type 4’s should get a relaxer? He doesn’t even like y’all yet your so caught up on the limiting system he built.

My hair is nipple-length now (haha) and when I was relaxed that length was considered really long back in the day when "black girl long" meant hair that went past your shoulders. Now the natural hair community has thousands of women of color with waist length, hip length, butt length and even longer hair. It's getting harder to define what is short and what is medium length these days--but that's a good thing! As long as its healthy, its beautiful at any length!
@linkin5961
@linkin5961 2 жыл бұрын
I would say your hair is long. It's black women who are re-defining what is long hair with ridiculous standards. Many white co workers have nipple and bra strap length hair. And consider their hair long. That is one reason I don't follow the natural community much. They will keep a women thinking she is bald even with hair.

I've been natural for 9 years now and had originally avoided the "wash n go" for years due to fear of knots, etc. To my surprise I discovered that my hair is most happy in a "wash n go" because it just likes to do what it wants to do. It doesn't like to be forced into a twist out, braid out or any other "out" style. She's content now ✊🏾

I used to do mine like this but over time I've started adding more gel, more water and my hair has gotten more moisturized and I'm starting to see those coils BEFORE I put the product on and mine ACTUALLY clumps quite easily now. Idk if it's been "trained" to do the wash n go or if the products I'm using are really working well, but I can now just rake the gel through and get the same results you get. And our hair is very, very similar except I'm high porosity.

@@QueenOfTheDamned Shampoo and conditioner vary depending on how my hair feels. I switch between TGIN the Rx line with the white label, Curls Dynasty and Miche. I always deep condition and I try to add ayurvedic powders to my dc. So far my favorite gel is Wetline. The fancier/more expensive stuff doesn't work consistently for me. I always go back to wetline. I always use a moisturizing leave in. If the line I'm using doesn't have one I like, I use Kinky Curly Knot Today.

Same! After doing wash n’ go’s for about 2 years, my hair finally got trained and all I have to do is put product in it and my coils come so easily! It use to take me forever to do it but now I can do it in abt 30min.

I'm so glad I found you! Not sure why but you never show up when I look up 4c hair and I could not (for the life of me) find a true 4c hair creator with hair that looks like mine! And a wash n go? On 4c hair, did not know that was a thing! Thank the heavens for you.

Great minds think alike. I've been doing this hairstyle for the past three weeks. I love it. I can keep this hair moisturized throughout the week and not have to worry about small strand knots. I also don't get any breakage when I take it down.
