For the casuals, the guy is an international master at chess, one rank below grandmaster. Probably all grandmasters and most international masters can play at a high level blindfolded because they memorize the board after every move naturally. I’m obsessed with rewatching this video. The story of her training arc is better than most tv shows. Shout out to Gotham, Hikaru, the Botez sisters, and both Annas for teaching her the complexities of chess. Nice to see that the best chess players are collaborating with the best KZfaqrs ❤

This is more of a mind game then it is being good at chess. She would beaten as soon as he said he would blindfold himself. The actual chess he did was a common 4 move win with 2 more steps.
@CreatorDevOnicalcus Жыл бұрын
@@Sbranch412 it is easy blindfolded it would be hard if she didn't say shit. what you saw here is a game of memory, he needed to remember what what is where and the problem is forgetting as he can't re-check. also with her being a newbie in chess, the strategy he used would have one of the biggest chances for him to win if she didn't say what she did.

like another person said, she didn’t know anything about chess before this, but the bigger issue with using humbled is that she wasn’t overconfident or arrogant whatsoever. there’s no ego to humble in this video, so there’s essentially zero reason to use ‘humbled’ over something that describes a defeat normally, or otherwise something that refers to her shock of being beaten by a blindfolded player.
