Sweet Chloe. I live in Canada. I go into Micheals about 3 times every other week and I don't have a problem going inside. Here's what you do.. I wear gloves and take them off as soon as I get out of the store...not only protect my hands, but it is a reminder not to touch my face.. I wear 2 masks over top of one another,one is cloth, the other is surgical..throw out the surgical one after...when I get home, I spray the shit out of my products with disinfectant, wait and clean them with a paper towel. Wash hands really well. I am not afraid to do this, even though I have Lupus. You can do it girl!!

Here in Norway we don't have crazy bad restrictions. I went on a shopping trip to the city centre today, and got some fabric for facemasks from my fav craft store (Panduro in Bergen). "Curbside Pickup" means something very different here in Australia. Once a year, we put our big garbage (furniture, appliances, etc, that wouldn't fit in your typical rolly bin) on the footpath for the city council to take to the dump. It's actually kind of interesting seeing what folks throw away, plenty of which is still perfectly fine but been replaced with something newer or what have you. Some people drive/walk around to dig through it (like a massive free garage sale throughout entire suburbs at a time) and those items that people like tend to disappear into the back of a ute or van in the middle of the night before the council comes to get rid of whatever's left.

I've been doing curbside pickup for groceries and I LOVE it, 20 minutes round trip and I actually spend less because fewer impulse buys. Every now and then my husband and I do go in though, it's kind of a thing for us and quite frankly it helps with the isolation, even if it's during slow hours and self check out. I haven't had much luck with buy online/pick up art supplies, things tend to end up not what I expected. Side note, personally I would love to see a greenscreen store trip, as long as it'd be way ridiculously overexaggerated. Maybe a sibling acting out the shelves, handing in (already owned) items from off-screen.

I'm not a virologist but I think I can take some worries away with curb side pick ups. Prof Streeck from the University of Bonn was head of a study in one of Germanies early hot spots in March and April. He took samples from surfaces of homes with several members in the family with covid-19 and was unable to propagate those sample. So while you can collect virus material, the virus is not fully viable in a very short time and as long as the surface is dry and in day light the virus load is neither high nor lively enough to harm you. Smear infection with curb side pick ups should be almost impossible if I understand the results of Prof Streecks studies correctly.

yeah. thanks for telling this. tbh - i see exactly in this video the "fear" vibe which seem to be shared a lot atm. And this i really do not support. Spreading fear and "oversensitivity" is not what is supportive. It just causes more fear - and misunderstandings and discussions and by that the "fear" transforms into anger. It is not deescalating - it is escalating behavior.

It is interesting how everyone is dealing with the pandemic. I have been going in to work the whole time and I do in person shopping. I went to 4 stores yesterday. I went to Hobby Lobby just to browse. So far I have not gotten sick and none of my family or coworkers have either. I can’t spend my life living in fear so I try to be as close to normal as I can. I would love to see what you get at Blick, I am so jealous there is no Blick store anywhere near me. Love your art and videos.
@ChloeRoseArt3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching :) It’s not about living in fear, many people confuse “being careful” with “living in fear”. When you have a loved one with an immune disease, you aren’t “living in fear” you’re “keeping them safe”, theres a different between living in fear and just being smart about reducing the risk of catching it. I know many friends who have family members and friends who have had it. A friend and fellow KZfaq artist - her father died, another friends uncle died, and another who’s dad now has heart damage. Just because it hasn’t happened yet doesn’t mean it won’t. A lot of people think if they haven’t caught it yet it means they won’t but that’s sadly not how it works, it’s just luck of the draw. Sadly a lot of people confuse “not living in fear” with complacency because they are over it but the pandemic isn’t over. It’s not forever or about living with it, it’s about being smart for now until it actually is over. It’s not for a lifetime it’s just for right now. People who have no choice but to go to work I totally feel for! But for right now, I am not living in fear, I am just being smart about my choices and keeping my mum safe. I know this wasn’t aimed at me, just explaining my reasoning for being careful as people use the not living in fear phrase a lot to people and I wanted to explain why that isn’t really a thing :)
@colleenworth50743 жыл бұрын
@@ChloeRoseArt Hi Chloe, yes the living in fear definitely was not aimed at you but meant more for how I was at the beginning of the pandemic. Sorry that I wasn’t clear. I was living in fear at the beginning but I can’t keep that up so I needed to go back to a more normal level of precaution. I don’t have any underlying health concerns so l don’t have to worry about that at least. I do realize that I can still catch it at any time as well, but I was always going to die so I can’t let this virus rule my life. Again that is meant for my level of fear that I was in at the beginning of this whole thing. I am a bit of a hypochondriac so I have really had to work on my mental health with this. Anyway I just wanted to be sure you knew I wasn’t trying to criticize you.

Just know that being in public means you're another person who can help spread the disease. Some people still can't leave their homes because getting COVID is almost certain death for them. They want to go out in public too, but no one thinks about that. If people would have been less selfish in the beginning, wore masks, and observed social distancing and hand washing we wouldn't still be dealing with it almost a year later.
